LOL... rainy day but what the heck. Kinda grumpy cuz I got home so late. And ergh I have to go offline soon! NOOO... Don't wanna. It sucks cuz when I have good MSN conversations, they're always interrupted and if they're picked up again the next day, rarely are they just as good cuz it's been totally disrupted and fragmented. Lol... Don't yell at me.. ah.. it's true.
Haha... Was reading Kitty's blog and she put some points as to why her day was good.. or the week in general.. and I guess the week is going good so far except my math teacher has ruined it for me by setting up a quiz this Friday.. BOO!!! LOL.
I love writing notes. They're enormously fun to do during class (oops) and I love receiving them.. And I find it helps to bring people closer together. IT does. And plus you have a physical object left behind from the person who sent it to you. And the writing is funny to read too... I mean aesthetically speaking. LOL... I like decorating my notes if I have time... AY Art people say if I ever become famous, my recipients should cut out the note and sell the artwork around it. LOL. Iono about that.. I can't really doodle as well as some people in my class like Maria or Vicky. I think I'm only mediocre in art.. I don't know.. I'm not very good nor very bad at it.
Very short entry today.. too engrossed in my msn conversations at the moment to blog.. till tomorrow.

Sigh.. I feel extremely happy but on the other hand I'm feeling totally ARGH WHY AM I STUCK IN THIS MESS. If you know what I mean. Either way, you hurt someone's feelings... obviously the reduction of misery is the better of the two but truth has to be handled gently. I know, I'm very vague.
When I woke up this morning I was feeling totally upbeat despite weather. Lol. Ew and we had a Cubism and Futurism essay test today. LOL.. When Ms Primeau left the room and some of the people stole the slides that the pictures were on.. HAHA.. and hid it underneat the sink. The funniest thing.. And she came back and noticed it was gone and said if we didn't give it back when she came back, she would.. I don't know.. lol. And so Krystal put it back on the projector when they decided to put it on some alienated desk so it would look as if she misplaced it. We were all laughing to the point of tears. LOL. Ya, eventually we took the test.. but it was hilarious. LOL.
Anyway, so much has been happening ever since March Break ended. Kinda stunned. I kinda need some time to absorb everything in. All at once and it's kinda disturbing. I need some art therapy.. lol.
Went to Michael's today. Very very fun. I mean it! LOL. I love Michaels. But everything is sooo expensive. I just burned a hole in my wallet today. Sigh.. Can't wait till everyone's birthdays are over.. And they never ever end cuz I know at least one person with a b day for every month. GAH. Too many friends... HAHA.. I'm joking. My wallet.. nooo... What's supposed to come out as an inexpensive gift always comes out as a hugely pricey one. I'm not kidding. Lol. To get supplies and stuff... geez.. and all the time spent in doing it... and how about planning it? That takes me ages.. longer than the doing sometimes. Might as well get store bought.. but then I have no idea what the person wants...
Dum dum dum.. had some flashbacks today.. Remembered the last day of school when I was in HK... It was kinda sad cuz my best friend never said goodbye to me.. she just left with another friend, and I was so hurt because it wasn't as if I was gonna return for the school year. I was leaving to Canada. Sigh. And another one of my friends, was so mad at me for some reason I don't remember shortly after I returned to Toronto... She phoned me and told me the meanest things. Yelling about something about how I'm so fake and how nobody in HK didn't like me anymore and were backstabbing me and lalala... She even went as far as to write me an email to say how I'd never get friends in Canada and if I had friends they weren't REALLY friends.. they just pretended to be. Which I thought was kinda funny cuz she didn't even know them. Lol. So I printed the email out and showed it to my friends who got so pissed off at her.. LOL. So some good did come out of it. Shoulda kept the email darn it. lol. Now when looking back on things, it seems so funny.. Don't ask me why.. Maybe I'm just drunk on my sad history of friends. I don't even know why I hung out with her so much... She was one of those people who would do anything to fit in including snubbing some of her closest friends. Don't ask me why.. The things we do in order to fit in.. sigh...

Lol. The funniest thing happened today. I had to get a renewal of my passport so my dad went to hand in the form and the crummy, ugly NON SMILING photo of me to the passport office. SO. The lady for some odd reason, told my dad that he had to fill in a child form for me since my parents signed me up as an adult. The lady said I was "under 16 years need a child form" so my dad got one and left.. -_-. My mom told me and I was like "Wait a minute.. mom how old am I? So I'm fifteen years old now?" And she started laughing her head off, realizing her mistake. Phooey. LOL. Parents. can't even remember that I'm 16.. geez.. And I told my mother that she was the one who was complaining that I hadn't got my G1 since I turned 16. Sigh. You can't win. You just can't win. lol. So as my mom said "Now you have something to tell your friends." And it is so.
Oops. Forgot to post up Kitty's nice blog entry. Gonna do that right now:

sammy.- first of all, i wanna say. AHH u change ur layout :P hahah! very very cherrry :P your lucky that i didnt steal it =P lol. mines still nicer you know it .. you know it =) its cool how we start to talk more now this semester! and we have the same old boring teacher--slade! :D! thank you for listening to me "blah" last night.. and i still kinda didnt really make a decision yet. i will soon though. i promised myself. Also, thanks for the prayer! wow that was very comforting to know that someone was praying for me =) i mean.. praying for ME. like wow. last night i've asked my self tons of questions.. but didnt really quite get an answer, but i will try again. oh and dont worry :) you'll get your note very soon! haha i'll write it to you on monday! =) and maybe i can get my sister to do that special folding thing so u wont be able to put it back together.. also i just wanna say that ur super talented--violin, art, and BAKING.. oh my gosh. if i get to go to the same university/college or wherever u go, i wanna be ur rooomate! mwhahah! get eat all your yummmy baking! =) UMMm... =) *drools*

- kitz was numb @ 4:36 PM

Haha.. thanks kitty. Um, you'd gain ten billion pounds if you were to be my roommate. And besides I have to learn how to cook, not bake. Sigh, I just start now actually... Are you gonna go to Ryerson or going to your baby university (aka Western). lol. Hm.. I heard Western has an art program, maybe I'll check it out. The thing is, I don't like how it's such a party/drug university. People say it's all rumours but I heard from the people who to the university who says it's true. Oh well. I wanna go to Ryerson! We're going to their open house on April 30th.. Also the Sheridan open house.. wheeee... It would be fun if April came with me to the Interior Design program for Ryerson.. then I'd know someone. Lol. Though I don't really care to make salad tongs... how odd...
Young Drivers called today to make an appointment for my first driving class.. I dont' wanna drive cuz I don't really trust myself with a gigantic metal box sitting on top of four wheels. And the lady on the phone sounded very mean.. :S. Hopefully that's their secretary. Haha. I doubt it.
I find that it's so easy to have faith in others than to have faith in yourself. You trust that others will get into a university if their choice, and get a good job.. but when it comes down to you... it seems so hard. Or for tests. People always say "You'll do fine. You're so smart". I guess cuz for others, you just need to have the faith but when it comes down to you, I guess you need more than faith, you need to act upon it.
Whoohoo. Gonna go sleepover at Lois's house next next Saturday! Whee... We have to get roses, Lois. I want to get yellow and white ones for Kitty for symbolic purposes. lol. Yellow= friendship. White= purity. But we have to get it at Dominion or something if we want them fresh and not half dead by the time her baptismal comes. Who else is going to your house, Loiser? You're gonna be broke by the time Easter rolls around.
It's funny how people who you don't usually talk to that much, are suddenly so concerned about you when a problem arises. Funny.
Anyway... gonna go eat.. blog later if there's anything left to say.

Feeling hurt right now and kinda stung because of a tiny comment. Sigh. Maybe I'm overly sensitive. But then again.. I don't know. I spent a good time looking for a nice e card (I find them quite impersonal but whatever. I write messages at the bottom) and couldn't send it because you had to sign up and pay. And it was such a funny little e card. And then she makes one sarcastic comment. Oh well.. I'll get over it within the next hour. I'll just go do something else.. Lois why aren't you answering me.... geez... oh.. cuz you went offline.. haha.. You know how you told me yesterday how personal my blog was and how creepy it was that anyone can read it? Well it doesn't really matter to me cuz my url is so weirded out plus even if people go through links to get to my site.. I don't care. It's like a journal where I can just write whatever even though it may be intended for a reader. I don't know...
I just had a wonderful day today.. lol. The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS so my mom and I took a walk on Main Street and everybody was out walking their dogs and chatting with friends. It was lovely. We just weaved in and out of the charming stores that were dappled with sunlight. Very beautiful. Starbucks was bursting with customers holding their steaming lattes and mochas in their trademark white foam cups. Hm. This sounds like a narrative now. Haha. ANYWAY....
Funny how we all enjoy the simple things in life. I just sat in my room today and opened the window WIDE and just watched my curtains billow in the breeze, obviously while listening to my lovely lovely Gladiator soundtrack (but a peaceful song. lol). OOOO guess what I just figured out? Do you remember the story of Jesus and the Transfiguration? When he took with him three disciples (I forgot who exactly) and revealed His true identity? He shone white.. dazzling white. And the disciples saw Moses and Elijah coming down to meet Him... well I think it was those two... my memory fails me. :S. Well anyway... doesn't that remind you of another story? AHEM.. how about when Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli were wandering in the forest and stumbled upon who they thought was Saruman but in fact, it was Gandalf clothed in pure white. And hm... three disciples... three members of the fellowship.. INTERESTING!! Haha.. I'm so pleased with myself. When I was retelling my mom about the Transfiguration, she thought I'd ask some deep theological question but in fact was comparing it with LOTR. HAHA.. funny. ANYWAY...
What was I gonna say? Erm.. I've forgotten.. La dee da. Oh yes. Kitty dedicated one of her entries just for me and I think I'm gonna post it so I can keep it forever... lol... so if I ever want to find this entry, I don't have to go through every single post Kitty's made. Yay.

YAY! I was able to put up a song! WHOOHOO! Good song.. LOL. Kitty!! HAHA... I really like this song. It really shows that God is faithful and He loves you just as you are. And that's all we need. How wonderful is that?
Aw.. Kitty's entry was dedicated to me. How sweet of you. I feel so special. I hope you are being enlightened in your quiet time right now. LOL. If you get baptised I'll come and watch you get dunked in water. HAHA.. And make sure Lois and I take loads of pics! Do your baptismal gowns balloon when you get into the water? Ours does. LOL.. Really funny.
Have any of you guys heard "I Can Only Imagine"? It's such a beautiful song. I love it. Funny thing is, is that I heard it on Kiss 98.5... and I was like.. Am I on the wrong station? And it was on 97.3 and 98.1.. All the secular radio stations! So odd! But the lyrics are wonderful.
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah, or will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine.
I'm so happy. I don't have math homework! YaHOO! LOL. I can do interior. I've started watercolouring. Kinda scared of screwing up..cuz in watercolour you can't really correct a mistake that easily.
I feel so happy right now for no reason. No math test? HAHA.. I don't consider interior design, homework. I like doing it. I guess I'm just happy.. happy for no reason. I'm very thankful for my friendships. God has always been so faithful to me. One day I was just contemplating and reminscing over my life so far.. and I've realized how faithful and good He has been to me. When I was alone in high school, He provided me with my then best friend which lead to a string of other friends. When I went to UHS going into the music program in hopes of getting into the art program the next year... He gave me friends that I may not have had if I didn't go into the music program (Lois, Leaf, Sarah, Amy, Cass, Rebecca...). I've just realized that if I never got accepted into one of the three spots in the AY Art program, I would be stuck in music for the rest of my high school career. o_o. Solos and theory.. ew.. I remember hearing Ms Troster telling us that there were around 10 people trying out, only three got in. I'm so thankful that He chose me to go. God is faithful and unchanging. How lovely.
OMG!! KITTY IS GETTING BAPTISED!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! HAHA... I'm so happy for you. Good job Kitty! Hopefully I'll be able to go to your baptismal.. as long as it doesn't clash with our worship service that I will be playing in.. please... hopefully! :D I'm so excited. HAHA. Okay, that's it for now..
Happy Kitty? I did it just for you! Even though you liked this layout when I showed it to you and you wanted to steal it! HAHA.. Too bad.. I just like the look of it. muahaha... can you read it better? The font?
Very tired. *yawn* Alex and Karen came over today.. Extremely last minute. And made me wait at Loblaws for a good 45 minutes cuz the 'traffic was bad'. HAHA. So I went to Discount Dave's to look at paraphernalia (I learnt that word from The Hobbit! hee hee). I want this Chocolate Baking cookbook for $8. I know.. Very random. Oh well. We took so long to decide what to eat... we settled on a lasagna, lettuce (for salad), tortilla chips and the salsa. HAha.. since the lasagna took 2 whole hours to bake, we rented 'Mona Lisa Smile'. Crappy plot. After, we ate, jammed, ate tiramisu (Alex, you deprived child) and chilled. HAHA.. Next time we'll do barbeque like last time.. That was fun. And we HAVE to see The Last Samurai when it comes out. Good movies.. Like Gladiator! YAY! Why does everyone think it's so weird that I actually like Gladiator? Lol. First my mom who thinks I wouldn't like it cuz it's so masculine, then Alex who thinks I wouldn't like it... just cuz...lol. The soundtrack is even better than LOTR. OKAY. Before you start accusing me of not being faithful to LOTR, you have to say that if I always said LOTR was better than all the rest... you'd accuse me of being narrow minded and comparing LOTR to films that I haven't even seen. LOL. So I do prefer the Gladiator soundtrack over the LOTR ones.. but I do really like some of the songs in the LOTR soundtracks.
Today was a good day... Frankly, even though I may have screwed up my math test, it's okay.. cuz it's over and besides... I tried. And I guess I'm happy lately cuz I'm developing my friendships.. some very new and some that are fairly new... It's kinda neat how you get to know other people even in the older grades. It's nice. And I enjoy going to the Civic Center with everyone in the clean, bright, quiet and SANITARY surroundings.
Whoopee! No math homework this weekend! I can work on my interior and start my history project! Sweetness. This was a lovely week! Hopefully next week will be just as good.
Kitty: I'll pray for you but not tonight. I'll keep you in my prayers longer than that, not just tonight. Think about it. What are you waiting for? If it's just fear... go for it... you'll always be in some sort of fear or doubt. You're never 100% ready. Btw, congrats on your 76% essay! And you owe me a note! Don't fall asleep on me in anthro class!

Thursday, March 25, 2004

Dum dum dum.. maybe I'll change the layout today cuz of Kitty's excessive complaining about the colour of the font with the background. Geez.. Beauty but blinded. LOL. How can you enjoy your gorgeousness Kitty, without being able to see yourself in the mirror? HAHA. Ya I'll write you a note soon.. soon... I made brownies due to high demand especially from the AY pple.. I'm trying to bribe some of them and they're all ganging up on me. :( No fair. Geez, people get the recipe from kraftcanada.com. Not that hard. lol. And I made cookies for my math teacher who loves them. LOL.. erm she'll know what I've done besides studying for my math test... BRIBERY. I'm joking. I put in pecans instead of walnuts... not like anyone would notice. lol.
Feeling very productive: went to art after school, studied for math test, dinner, studied some more, baked brownies and cookies, practiced violin, took shower, got some exercise and now I'm on the comp! YAY!!
Wow, my brother is coming to UHS (sibling) next year.. ah!!! Torture. LOL.. guess Robyn will have to bear with him longer than I do.. oh well... :D Life is pretty good.

In the midst of my self pious entry yesterday, I totally forgot about a really good thing that happened. I had received an email from one of the worship leaders of our English leading service asking if I could play in the team for the joint ESC (english speaking) and CSC (chinese speaking) service: basically the entire church. I was kind of uncertain because for a few reasons:
1) Birthdays are coming up and there may be things that I need to do or events going on.
2) I haven't played in the worship team in ages and I'm kinda nervous

Yes, so that's what I was worried about. Sub consciously I was expecting that the worship team would consist more of the Chinese speaking crew. Well I accepted cuz my mom said I should so I can 'cultivate' this 'talent' of mine. HAHA. Talent. Whatever, so I emailed the worship leader back and received an email yesterday informing us who else was on the worship team. And all the people who were picked for the crew from the ESC behalf, were all people I knew! YAY. So I am perfectly happy. Perhaps it will be okay. Hopefully I'll be able to wing my way through. LOL
Today was okay.. I mean besides almost missing my bus cutting brownies, getting stuck in my jacket cuz of the stupid zipper and having too many things to carry in my arms... ya.. it was okay. Math test was postponed to Friday. But devotions was really good. Not like I do them regularly (which I should be doing). What propelled me into doign them was cuz I wanted to find this verse which was said to be closely connected to a line in LOTR. LOL. I know... But it was really good.. just felt very nice. Kinda felt connected... connected to something or someone. Lol. That's it for now. I have unearthed my old christian teen music cds to listen. Good memories...

Not much. A bit ticked off... by something(s). Don't wanna talk about it right now.. I'm waiting for my brownies to finish baking in the oven. Made chocolate souffle cookies earlier and had a slice of my mom and cousins' chocolate cheesecake. Very good. Very filling.
Have you ever felt as if you were being used? Befriended by people in need.. ONLY when they need you. Oh yes it sucks. Totally. In some ways I can feel the hurt that God feels when we pray only when we're wallowing in the crappy times. He wants us to talk to Him daily.. but we neglect to do so during our good times until some disaster befalls us.
Does it feel crap. I don't understand why He's so forgiving. It makes no sense to me at all. If I were Him I'd just laugh at the person and perhaps smite him with a bolt of lightning (as evil as that sounds).
That reminds me this email I once read. Some talk show host was interviewing Anne Graham asking where God was after Sept 11 occured. If there was a god, where was He when it happened? Why didn't He do anything about it and let so many innocent people die? She answered by saying that for decades we have been denying God's existence, shunning Him out of our school systems, the government... And when we need help in times of crisis, such as the fall of the two towers, we cry out and blame it all on God. So why should He be there after we shunned Him out? We told him to go away, and He did. Don't blame it on Him. It is because of our pride and arrogance, that had caused the catastrophe.
Sigh. Anyway. Just very bitter at the moment. Whatever. You think I have a lot of time on my hands to bake goodies, write notes etc? It's cuz I do it for you, not because I just feel like doing it for fun and out of sheer boredom, it's because I want you to be happy. And I just want to do an 'act of kindness', so it might give you a lift during the day. I do it out of the love for my friends. Now don't get me wrong, I find baking fun. I enjoy doing it: the taste and the scents all rolled into one. But it would be nice if people would talk to me besides asking for help 'editing' as if I'm some English machine that lasers out any grammar mistake and bolds them in orange. And again I say, I don't mind doing it, I'd rather help and keep up my English skills. It helps me to improve my own grammar and whatnot but please don't expect me to just do it for you. Sometimes I have my own things to do, but I help you anyway. You know why I do it? I want to be as close as I can to what God would do. What Would Jesus Do (WWJD)? That's what I ask myself and He would probably help however He can. And this is how I try to help. Since I cannot help anyone in the sciences or the maths, I do it through English. And how do people repay me? I don't know. I don't really expect anything in return. Not anything big really. It is so hard to be perfect. To be like God. It is so difficult. No wonder they call it the Narrow Road. The moral standards are so high. It's impossible to be perfect. Sigh. But I do try. I really do. But it's so hard.
And another thing that has been bothering me ever since last tuesday. Why did we watch American Wedding is beyond me. Omg. I should have walked out of the room. When I first watched American Pie 2 with my friend (I didn't know it was that crass at the time) I got in big trouble with my mom. And I vowed the next time that happened, I would try to avoid it. I thought I learned my lesson but I hadn't. I'm so ashamed that I didn't walk out of that room. I should have walked out and gone somewhere else. Anywhere but there. But I didn't want to be impolite but that's just stupid. What's even more unbelievable was that there were three other Christians in that room and I cannot believe they just watched it right through. Ya, so whoever reads this, don't get pissed. I really had to get that out cuz it's been on my mind for the past week. Hopefully, it won't happen the next time. Sigh. Some people just learn the hard way.
That's all I have to say for now. Good thing that blogs don't talk back. -_-

Let all nature sing. Let the earth rejoice. We will resonate. Resonate Your glory
Haha. Thanks for the song Viv. I have been dying to hear that song for sooo long! GAH!! Ever since we sang it in the UHS Coffeehouse in Grade 9. Super.
I love worship because it connects your heart, mind and soul together. It fulfills the spiritual need within you and satisfies you. And being the artsy, emotional type, music is perfect. It really does connect you with God. And being in a room full of others who are worshiping and singing at the same time is wonderful.
I never sing.. ever.. to anyone not even to my family or whatnot unless I'm like home alone. The only people who have heard me sing, are my friends at church. For some reason, I don't mind as much as to who hears me sing cuz we're all singing and worshiping. Besides, I'm not singing for them, I'm singing to our God. Steve (our worship leader) once said our worship is just like those kiddy drawings that our parents post up on the refridgerator.. it's imperfect and terribly amateur but God loves it anyway. He probably even finds it cute. LOL. That sounds terribly funny though. Yup so that's my thoughts for today.... Oh ya.. here's a forward one of my friend's sent me.. It's quite sweet:
1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you..
2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.
3. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
4.. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.
6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.
9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.
12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.
13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.

Kinda out of it today... Worried about math test but don't feel like taking any action as to 'improve' my math results. I scanned some photos from last Tuesday though! :D. So if you want any, just ask me on msn to send them to you. I didn't take that many so don't expect too much.

Whoohoo today's mission sermon was called 'Return of the Kingdom' and guess what the guy used to carry out his message?!? HAHA you got it! the ROTK trailer! whoo hoo.. I was so happy. LOL. I love LOTR if you didn't know that by now.

Ugh I want to eat something.. I'm having sugar cravings.. not...gonna..eat... Must fill my thoughts other than food... lol.. I found this little article.. kinda depressing but it's just for jokes:

And, wanna laugh? You'll enjoy this. It takes
*2 hours and 44 minutes to walk off a 9 oz. slice of apple pie
*35 minutes to run off a 9 ox. bowl of ice cream
*47 minutes to run off a 9 oz. slice of cheesecake
*59 minutes to run off a 9 oz. brownie
*4 hours and 39 minutes to walk off the brownie
*1 hour and 55 minutes to bicycle it off
Bottom line: Keep your sense of humor. Unfortunately, I couldn't find statistics on how many calories you burn when you laugh. But whatever, it's good for your soul!

LOL... That's for all the people who went to Demetres the other day! HAHA.. I'm so joking.. Yeah, don't eat any of my brownies anymore cuz you probably have to double the exercise from what's there. Oh by the way, did you know tiramisu means 'pick me up' in Italian? lol... I found that in some Italian menu in HK. Yes I know.. sheer randomness

Lol, oh by the way, this layout wasn't made by me.. (Janet! lol...) I just took it from those blog skins. It's so much easier just to get someone else's design and stick it on to your own (obviously). HTML is quite annoying.. hey Leaf you can make me a layout if you want since you adore HTML. LOL. I know you want to! You owe me a favour after asking me so many times as to what colour font you should match with your guild background. Muhaha. I don't mind making backgrounds and stuff (coughloiscough)... lol.. anyway I'm so bored, I'm just gonna make a little 'shout out' (I hate that phrase for some odd reason... maybe cuz it's too cliched.. I hate that word too. 'Cliche'...ew..lol) If I left someone out.. just tell me.. don't yell cuz my brain sucks at remembering things.. sometimes.. depends what... haha. And sorry if some are shorter than others. I can't help it.

Kitty
Hey thanks for all your help.. haha.. Your blog is very nice. I like it a lot. Your posting of your friendship was very sweet. Thanks for sharing. Why aren't you online right now.. geeez...I want to show you my blog. Wow I just reread what I wrote and my sentences are so short and clipped.. not good at all. So how are your short story responses? Lol.. have fun doing them.. Let's walk to the Civic Center this week.. I want to eat there... the food is sooo yummy! *drool*

Alice
Come on get on with that essay of yours.. next thing you know it, you're gonna be doing that deadly seminar.. EW. The first seminars were horrible.. have I freaked you out enough? Haha... My last one was the best.. just don't go first and not last either... You'll be FINE. I can't wait to see Return of the King again.. just dying.. gah.. Just watching the trailer gives me the shivers and I am so excited to watch it again. HAHA.. we shall have our marathon soon.. SOON... May 25th... almost there.... 'The board is set. The pieces are moving.'. LOL I love that quote from ROTK.. it sounds so dramatic.. lol. I will say that some time when we're at school about to go across or something.. 'The board is set. The pieces are moving'... Hee hee. Hey btw, we should start planning our dessert party eh? I will be chef and you the sous chef! HAha... Or we can be partners in crime. I think it would be loads of fun.. we could do it at my house but it's so small..... you tell me.

Lois
Hey Loiser... CONCERTMASTER... I haven't called you that in ages.. Whoohoo! Sarah is gonna be back soon! But she's only gonna be in orchestra.. I can't wait till she gets back. We can go to her house, watch movies, and eat that yummy white chocolate dip like her farewell party. Oh the good memories... I miss her. Tell me what you're doing and when you are doing your party (apparently my mom thinks it's a good idea.. the ROM I mean) cuz I think I'm gonna be playing the violin in the baptismal service on Sunday so the worship group requires me to be there for a few weekends. WOW I just realized that it's your b day in exactly a month. Remember last year and your obnoxious countdown.. Please don't do that this year.. PLEASE

Janet
Were you stalking me on Friday? o_o. Lol... I saw the other pple you were with and I was like.. hey they kinda remind me of Janet and then you turned around and there you were. Very freaky. HAHA... You went to the Science Center today?? LOl.... nerd.. okay.. don't kill me cuz I know everyone likes the science center.. The Rom now? well Loiser wants to go so you'd be happy to know that.. haha.. All of us in the ROM.. Eek don't even wanna think about that... I think we'd get kicked out and banned for life.

Steph

I didn't get it.. didn't feel like having pizza.. and besides I'm quite fond of Pizza Hut pizza... despite what pple say about the nasty grease and whatnot. ;) You gonna wear your jersey tomorrow? I wore mine today.. got lots of compliments ;). well duh what do you expect when you wear a CARMELO ANTHONY jersey? HAHA... Sorry I'm quite spaced our right now.. Let's play foozeball again and beat the crap out of Tania and Mitch... muahaha.. you should come over and try my foozeball table. Wow.. none of you have been to house before.. Tania
Oh yes.. to my bestest buddy. LOL.. not used to saying that but whatever. I don't like using the term 'best' when it comes to friends. I bought a box of mangoes today! Whoohoo.. you want one? ;) Hm I'm having doubts over your present at the moment cuz I didn't really make it.. lol.. but whatever.. I'll make it up to you.. and I still have to plan that outing... Good good.. Wow April is drawing real close you know that? Sigh.. I can't believe it's spring already. I remember walking home and watching the trees starting to bud. A year goes by fast eh? And how long have we been friends? A year? Less than a year? That is sooo short. Lol. Funny... And yet... *shrugs*. Let me read your essay when you're done.. lol. You and your ACC fans. Love you.

Mitch
Ah yes, the evilest of them all. The 'devil on my shoulder' who tells me to buy buy buy like there's no tomorrow. I will get that Escada stuff as soon as my bank account is replenished.. but that's cuz I've been wanting it for so long since the summer and I could never find it anywhere in the other malls. GRR.. and I want that papaya stuff (which in reality, smells like mangoes).. Mmm yummy... I think I'll find my recipe for mango cheesecake. You ever had that? I haven't, I just have the recipe for it. LOL.. *drool*. So you got that shirt yet? I forgot what brand.. was it Baby Phat? LOL.. GET IT. you know you waaaant it! Wooo.. I miss Cajun fries from Civic Center... grr I shouldn't be eating this stuff... cannot afford to see the scale moving towards the right. lol.. whatever. I want their Caesar salad again.. haha.. You enjoying the A List? Hm I wonder if Steph ever got past page five on Gossip Girl. LOL

Viv
All I can think about when I read your name is "AH MATH TEST!" How sad is that? LOL.. I only did that sheet she gave us on the last day.. and some stuff was kinda confusing but whatever. I don't like math.. I mean "I like math.. I like math" (reverse psychology). How is your exercise science coming along? Lol.. getting to know your bones and limbs and joints very well yet? I'm sure you have! Haha.. and don't kill me for reading your blog.. I never knew PUBLISHED blogs couldn't be read.. that doesn't make sense.. Leaf seems to agree with me as well.. you and janet.. touchy!!!

Leaf
LOL.. you gonna make a layout soon? HAha.. Um.. I still have yet to finish your dragon.. which is somewhere.. lying in one of my sketchbooks untouched- unscathed since last summer. So how is your guild coming along? Do you like the orange font that I recommended? haha... Aren't I so nice to help you chose a font colour. It takes a lot of work you know.. HAHA... show me your site when you're done... which I guess will be in quite a while since you're doing that shop thing simultaneously. How's english going? I'm glad I didn't have Williams.. let's get Silver together next year! whoo hoo! LOL... Oh btw, how is your novel coming along? When can I read it and get your autograph? LOL.. don't roll your eyes at me.

Blog? Lol.. Exactly what you do in a blog is beyond me. Just ramblings and stuff but I do that all the time whether it's in emails, letters, msn or in my English essays. I've been around reading a few people's blogs and I think they're very sincere. So maybe I'll give it a go cuz I'm too tired to make layouts and do all that enormous amounts of html.. My brain space can be used for other things than codes of 'src' and <>. But that's my opinion. Seriously, what benefits does one have for making a page? A form of expression, that is true.. but in the long run, if you don't take it as a profession, it's kinda useless. But making layouts is fun.

The title of my blog name 'Anatomy of an Artist' actually came from a newspaper article from the New York Times. And I thought it was kinda nifty.
Anatomy: Structural makeup. A separating or dividing into parts for detailed examination.
Artist: On who professes and practices an imaginative art. A person skilled in one of the fine arts.

It's been most interesting reading everyone's blogs (and I respect their opinions) and one of the main issues that keeps popping up in everyone's blog is the fact that we are in the middle of a shattered community of friends. I know I've only been declared as part of the 'UHS crew' (if I can say so) perhaps only this year, but here's what I say to all this.
It's funny how everyone of you feels alone and believes that no one else understands how you feel. But have you noticed that each one of you has been 'stepping into each other's shoes'? We've all heard of the saying "try stepping into the other person's shoes and see how they feel like". Well you guys do that without noticing it. Here's a quote that I found one day:

"We are all so much together, but we are all dying of loneliness."--Dr.Albert Schweitzer

Very true isn't it. I think that just basically sums up what I think of this whole 'issue'. You may be thinking "No one understands me" but you understand each other so well because you know how it feels like to be alone. Perhaps it's because we all wallow in self pity and are disillusioned from the bigger picture. We see the fragments-a puzzle piece or two- yet not the completed image. It's like we each iscolate ourselves onto an island yet we do not see that in reality it's a continent: a whole. Lol.. sorry I don't think makes any sense to you guys but whatever. Everyone has felt the sting of being alone... And that's not a bad thing because eventually we'll have to accept the fact that we are lonely people. We can fight it.. surround ourselves with people.. go to clubs... watch movies, but these things are fleeting. They don't last. People die, friends come and go, the novelty of gadgetry and electronics wears off and leaves us empty. I found another quote from an essay that I'm quite fond of (yes from Mr Silver's class.. har har to you too). The essay is called "The Box Man":

"The Box Man knows loneliness chosen, loses its sting and claims no victims."-Ascher

Be comforted that even if you drifting away from some of your peers, you are drawing closer to others. But cherish those whom you have known for a long time. I've always admired a few of my mom's friendships. She and her best friend (I think 'best' or at least 'very close') have known each other since Grade 1. They live in different countries and went to different universities but somehow they were able to keep the bond that ties them together. She had cancer, and I will never forget the day she cried whilst she was telling me to pray for her before I went to sleep.

So do not use the term 'friend' lightly. Just because you have acquainted with another, does not make the person your friend. Is she really there for you always? Can you confide with her? Can she receive your thoughts as if they were her own? That's all I have to say for now.

"If someone listens, or stretches out a hand, or whispers a word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen."---Loretta Girzartis
