Not much. A bit ticked off... by something(s). Don't wanna talk about it right now.. I'm waiting for my brownies to finish baking in the oven. Made chocolate souffle cookies earlier and had a slice of my mom and cousins' chocolate cheesecake. Very good. Very filling.
Have you ever felt as if you were being used? Befriended by people in need.. ONLY when they need you. Oh yes it sucks. Totally. In some ways I can feel the hurt that God feels when we pray only when we're wallowing in the crappy times. He wants us to talk to Him daily.. but we neglect to do so during our good times until some disaster befalls us.
Does it feel crap. I don't understand why He's so forgiving. It makes no sense to me at all. If I were Him I'd just laugh at the person and perhaps smite him with a bolt of lightning (as evil as that sounds).
That reminds me this email I once read. Some talk show host was interviewing Anne Graham asking where God was after Sept 11 occured. If there was a god, where was He when it happened? Why didn't He do anything about it and let so many innocent people die? She answered by saying that for decades we have been denying God's existence, shunning Him out of our school systems, the government... And when we need help in times of crisis, such as the fall of the two towers, we cry out and blame it all on God. So why should He be there after we shunned Him out? We told him to go away, and He did. Don't blame it on Him. It is because of our pride and arrogance, that had caused the catastrophe.
Sigh. Anyway. Just very bitter at the moment. Whatever. You think I have a lot of time on my hands to bake goodies, write notes etc? It's cuz I do it for you, not because I just feel like doing it for fun and out of sheer boredom, it's because I want you to be happy. And I just want to do an 'act of kindness', so it might give you a lift during the day. I do it out of the love for my friends. Now don't get me wrong, I find baking fun. I enjoy doing it: the taste and the scents all rolled into one. But it would be nice if people would talk to me besides asking for help 'editing' as if I'm some English machine that lasers out any grammar mistake and bolds them in orange. And again I say, I don't mind doing it, I'd rather help and keep up my English skills. It helps me to improve my own grammar and whatnot but please don't expect me to just do it for you. Sometimes I have my own things to do, but I help you anyway. You know why I do it? I want to be as close as I can to what God would do. What Would Jesus Do (WWJD)? That's what I ask myself and He would probably help however He can. And this is how I try to help. Since I cannot help anyone in the sciences or the maths, I do it through English. And how do people repay me? I don't know. I don't really expect anything in return. Not anything big really. It is so hard to be perfect. To be like God. It is so difficult. No wonder they call it the Narrow Road. The moral standards are so high. It's impossible to be perfect. Sigh. But I do try. I really do. But it's so hard.
And another thing that has been bothering me ever since last tuesday. Why did we watch American Wedding is beyond me. Omg. I should have walked out of the room. When I first watched American Pie 2 with my friend (I didn't know it was that crass at the time) I got in big trouble with my mom. And I vowed the next time that happened, I would try to avoid it. I thought I learned my lesson but I hadn't. I'm so ashamed that I didn't walk out of that room. I should have walked out and gone somewhere else. Anywhere but there. But I didn't want to be impolite but that's just stupid. What's even more unbelievable was that there were three other Christians in that room and I cannot believe they just watched it right through. Ya, so whoever reads this, don't get pissed. I really had to get that out cuz it's been on my mind for the past week. Hopefully, it won't happen the next time. Sigh. Some people just learn the hard way.
That's all I have to say for now. Good thing that blogs don't talk back. -_-
