I have nothing profound to say (though do I ever?). But I was so pissed off at myself this morning because I cannot do math. Seriously. When it comes to history, geography, art, etc etc. I am fine. Even for science (except physics). Yeah I know I didn't take any sciences but I'm not totally stupid. Geez. Okay. I'll lay off now. Anyway, I can't do math. There's this invisible blockage to my left brain that reads 'no entry. mathematical skills are not available' . I can't grasp concepts for pete's sake. Yargh. So this morning I was totally hating myself. Yeah.. my rant. Don't want to say anymore. You know what. I really hate how I write. How it sounds. It sounds so.... yech. Okay... must be getting tired. Finished Medici Dagger! yay... I'm just sauntering through all these books. Pretty cool. I've taken interest in studying Leonardo Da Vinci's work now. :). I do well in art history. Super well. I still remember everything from the Baroque period that Ms Chelin taught us. And we didn;t even get sheets and it's still in my head. -_-. Can I trade it in for some math..... Just for a year.. to end my misery.

Lol. To mitch (my shopping buddy *coughbuyitcough*),

Haha.. Sorry I didn't write this yesterday cuz I was busy watching 'Mystic River' (I wanna prove that LOTR is better than Mystic River! stop rolling your eyes at me!). dum dum dum.
Yes so as everyone knows, I met Mitch in Europe (oh how lovely.. what a nice place to build a friendship! ;)) And this was when we started our whole 'go buy' thing.. lol. Remember going to Sephora and you were trying to make me buy that mint chocolate chip cream stuff? Lol. And remember how we asked the sales clerk if they had another one of those 'la beaute est un langage'.. And they gave us that Angel sample perfume (which was kinda gross...). Anyway, Paris and Florence were some lovely places to start memories eh? Haha... now to school...

Yeah. Cream of _____, and the yummy grilled chicken caesar salads. :). I've always consulted with Mich as to what I should buy for lunch.. Lol. Then again I ask her for her opinion on a lot of stuff.. like... Deerhurst (;)), and of course things to buy (but she seems to always agree with me.. hm.. -_-)... And of course, Mitch is super smart with her high 89% average (close enough) and she's gonna become a lawyer one day since she got the highest mark in law class! Yeah, she is so intelligent (in her courses I mean...) and she has a super good sense in her clothing (coughrichcough). lol... ecko (you didn't get the pink tube top yet!).. guess (you and your jeans!). Haha. I think she got her sense of style from me! I am so kidding. How could I ever compete? ;). Shopping with Mitch is fun. ;). Especially if I succeed in getting her to buy stuff.. muahaha.. and spraying perfume.. Lol. That was great. Yup just intoxicate me with all that Ralph Lauren.

Yeah well Mitch is a super cool person. Also extremely mean cuz she always likes to tick me off AND not attend any of the sleepovers we host(Except for my 18th birthday one which will be next year!). But she's cool for liking Pictionary and always being so BRAVE as to challenge Steph and I to several billion games of foozeball. She's also very creative and artsy cuz she can draw super duper Mrs. Anthony and Carmelo pictures (yes, they are beautiful and I still have a lot of them.. just in case you guys become famous, I could sell them and retire). And we have similar interests (as in we want to go to gym.. oh the good intentions! and we both like to make each other spend money, sweet perfumes (Escada :)) and it goes on and on... Sigh. If only she could see the light and see how brilliant Lord of the Rings is!!! Mitch! haha. She's also a super friend (who is actually msging me on MSN more often!) but quite evil at the same time cuz she's ditching me to go to HK and such and such! She better get me some stuff.
Oh! I just remembered some stuff! We'd always bump into each other at Markville Mall when she's shopping with her mom or dad. I remember when she went to get my present HAHA. That was hilarious.. And she said it was 'hot'. Geez. What kind of hint was that? My hot pink wallet is cool. I know she has a good taste in stuff. ;) And she's always late to parties and such! HAHA.. The Chicago game.. priceless.
I wonder if I'll have any classes with her next year! That would be fun wouldn't it? I'd be constantly bugging her. Well I hope we have lunch together next year or some class... wouldn't that be great.. muahaha.. Anyway love you lots Mitch! You're super cool and you're really pretty!! ;). and you know it! Did ya know that? Mitch is super pretty! (Why am I using the word 'super' so much? well mitch is gorgeous! ;) ). Okay! Hope you feel good now! Love you too!
Ps. sorry about losing the tape
Pss. you owe me two books

Mitch's entry to moi:

okayy.. i said i would blog about u yesterday.. but i totally got lazy, lol, anyways, u should totally feel priviledge that i actually have a blog about u!

so here goes:

i met sam during one of the meetings of the france and italy trip. and the first time i actually began to talk to her was during the trip. I remember me and her ditching everyone else during shopping and getting those small cans of diet cokes. it was fun. O and the trips to sephora, hmm i jus want a bag, what can we get. so we walked all around to find something JUS to get a bag.. good time good times.. o and remember the jean jacket? SEE what a good influence i was BUY SAM BUY! =) yup, and finally one of the most memorable things during the trip was when sam decided to jump in btw me and tania in the bed and sleep there :P

okay.. so then i got to know sam a lil better and we had lunch like twice during the semester becuz i was the loser who went to volunteer a ll the time during 5th =P.. yup, but during the summer we began to watch many movies and of course the worse one was how to deal.. absolutely boring!

so AFTER, during grade 11, thats when i began to get to know sam more! me and tania got her to LOVEEEE carmelo anthony! plz admit it, u kno u LOVE HIM!.. but yea, me and tania would draw carmelo and sam with long fingers in chemistry class and give it to her! muahaha, good times! and then the denver game! sam was droooooooooooling!

okay, next, second semester! we had lunch 2gether! civic centre and friesss and blts and caesar salads! SOOO YUMMY! yea, but my head would be stuck in my bio text book and she would be doing interior design or math or reading! hahah and the books! i still have ur books! O YEA, remember my vince carter charity game tape *uh hum* somebody seemed to lost it =P

yea, but sam is a super amazing friend! shes so funny! and i luv gettin her to buy stuff.. of course she likes me to do the same! above are jus SOME of the funny things we shared! but there are many! =) i luvvvvv u!

mich shed a tear on 6:06 PM.

Lol. I thought I was being good today by ordering a chicken and broccoli crepe for dinner. It ended up being drenched in cream and all this stuff... Lol. Well I tried to avoid the cream as much as I could and I did not order dessert (sob.. we were at this cake gallery cafe too, known for its yummy desserts.. I truly must've turned a new leaf if I've given up on the yummy cakes... :P).. ANYWAY (this entry is totally random)
Notebook. Beginning was funny cuz the intro was super long and super quiet and all we (lois, janet and I) could hear was the crinkle of candy wrappers, popcorn and coughing. Lol.
But besides that, this was the first time Lois and I agreed on the movie we wanted to watch. Now that is amazing. TOTALLY AMAZING cuz we never agree on the right movie. Lois was comparing Notebook to Titanic and I couldn't understand why she couldn't sit through LOTR since it also was a three hour movie. Lol When Kitty arrived at the FMP food court we started arguing about LOTR. LOL. Lois and Kitty complaining how long the movie was, Janet and I saying how brilliant it was. Anyway, we then mucked about and ended up going to Michael's since Kitty had to pick up some scrapbooking supples (she was looking for some expertise in that area of course ;). I'm kidding) but wow! Everything was on sale!! Yergh.. I want to buy stuff.. But that's okay.. I got Kitty to buy a load of paper and this scrapbook.
We then migrated to Club Monaco (boring) and finally ended up at Chapters. Chapters :). Btw, I'm done this huge 3 inch book. Whee.. now to find new ones....

Things to do in the summer (inspired by a certain someone ;) ):
-Do Calculus (har har Viv. I'll have the last laugh next year)
-Paint Tania's room
-Paint guest bathroom
-Paint mural on Sophia's wall
-Search for scholarships
-Portfolio..portfolio: art projects for possible candidates for portfolio:
Inspired by all these roomboxes I've done, I'm gonna buy a roombox (preferably with a built in window and not too big) and paint all three/ four sides replicas of Vermeer paintings (eek.. how ugly they're gonna turn out. Vermeer is like... up there... lol) and inside gonna replicate a painting from another one of his masterpieces.. Geez.. where the heck am I gonna get the figure with relatively the same clothing..
Currently doing a ton of conte drawings (well just started on one...)
-Attend all of Lois's mad last minute plans
-Find a perfect gym minus the hidden costs and scrounge up what motivation I have to work out. Lol.
-Practice driving (Get G2? Pfft.. right.)
-Go and have a super time in the West Coast
-Make/buy everyone's birthday presents.. (grrrr)
-Finish school so I can get paid! HAHA.
-Go to sleepover with cousins
-Perhaps go to cottage with Julia (if I don't get sick again)
-Swim swim swim
-Make Kitty's apple crumble (you better eat it even if it turns out crummy)
-Possibly rearrange and buy new couch for home theatre

Good. That's good for now.
Haha. Did you know Steph and I knew each other from way back? Though we probably didn't know at the time? Lol. We both went to Wishing Well Montessori school (I was stuck there for three years and she went for two weeks). Lol. Funny how small this world is. If I went to TMS (I was on waiting list) then I would've met Lois and Tania. Lol. Perhaps.
Well well.. gonna go now.. dum dum dum...
Entry #2

This was something I read in the health section of the paper (yes! mitch changed her layout to a one I was gonna do! Kitty admit it, your blog layout is not as nice as ours! ;).). Anyway. Back to the point, I liked this little response from a woman who took up the Get Health Challenge and has been featured in the Toronto Star as the 'contestants' progressed. She's 207 lbs and only lost around 3 lbs but this is what she said:

'Dear Everybody,
Everything is going well this week. I was at a horse show on Sunday. One judge didn't place my horse too kindly.. and I took it to heart at the beginning: but I ended up complimenting myself, knowing that Zeke was riding better and I was riding better too. I just wasn't what that judge was looking for. Which inspired me to reach out to my friend, who I am scared is suffering from a disorder with her eating and exercise habits. Don't get me wrong; eating correctly and exercising is wonderful, but she is about 107 pounds (and quite tall) and is obsessed with going to the gym to the point of physical exhaustion (unable to do anything else.)
She gets extremely upset at herself if she allows herself to eat a bite of chocolate. I'm wondering if this is to impress herself or to impress others; if so she needs to understand that just like the judge who didn't like my horse (even though Zeke was going the best I could make him go), not everyone is going to like how she looks, no matter how hard she tries.
It's funny because I joined this Challenge thinking that I could reach a size 4 and be the object of perfection in everyone's eyes, and what I learned is that perfection is unachievable. A small dress size means nothing when you are killing yourself to be that thin, and letting your mind be controlled by other people's thoughts of "what is beautiful." Beauty is nothing when you don't have health.
I wish I didn't take me this long to learn this, and I wish for all those girls who are 14 and huddled over a toilet making themselves sick to be what others tell them is beauty- that it won't take them so long either.'

Lol. I don't understand why I'm posting what other people are writing. But I thought it was a neat little response and it was worth copying down. This blog is kinda like a journal where I keep scraps of memories and cut out clips where one day... I can just read back and see how I felt when I was 17. Lol. Well this is the rest of Viv's entry to moi that I thought I might as well just post cuz I want to read back on this if we part directions.

Viv's entry con't:

con't// haha i'll never forget this night "vivz lo* // WITNESSED the greatest moment in history: deconstruction of sam's cherries :P" it was truly the greatest moment :) DoWN WITH THE CHERRIES! im glad i was part of this =P haha sam, u should have done that a LONG time ago. =) lol back on sth moreee coool :] altho i met sammy for less than one year, sometimes it feels like i've known her for my whole high schoool careeer! shes sooo crazzzy and funny, especially her AHH!s on msn. .. or how about that "stick ur tongue out" emoticon? lmao! great memories.. cuz everytime she shots that emoticon at me.. i give her my BIGGER "stick your tongue out" emoticon! har har har! immm unbeatablee :P soo jokes. i always have great laughs doing/saying something stupidd on msn wiht sammy. she alwas get soo frustrated with me.. it makes me LOL! her sarcasm is supper funny too.. haha (you know what i mean). all in alll, sam wong has become one of my special friends this semm and i will seriously cry if she ends up in my calculus class =P enough said.

"My darling," she said at last, "Are you sure you don't mind being a mouse for the rest of your life?"
"I don't mind at all," I said. "It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like so long as somebody loves you."
-Roald Dahl, The Witches

To my special hobbit (although she doesn't know what that is.. but that's okay cuz hobbits are awesome!)
Wow. You wrote me a super long entry. Lol.. hm.. so how should I beat it... From the beginning I always refered to you as the-girl-with-the-guitar-that-was-as-big-as-her. Lol. I think out of the whole Raps crew, we're the only ones who have lockers that are iscolated near the gym area! HAHA. How sad is that? You see, that's why I don't go to our locker area now cuz since I know you, I try to avoid seeing you.. but you're always at the music hall now with your lovely EXERCISE SCIENCE textbook.. If I had to picture you in my head, I always dream you're wearing that purple shirt or jacket of yours. Don't know why though. LOL. Maybe cuz it's purple? Lol. Btw, you are such a fob. I have no clue as to why you claim I am a fob. I'm the biggest non fob ever. GEEZ! You are so weird. You'd cry if we'd have Calculus together next year? Omg. That would be freaky. I just hope we have a good teacher. You wanna know what I learned for the past few days?? HERE GOES CUZ I AM PROUD OF MYSELF!!!!
m= lim h-->0 f(a+h)-f x 1/h
AM I GOOD OR WHAT?!?!? HAHAHA... You will learn that too in time my dear.. HEE HE.. I know.. I just wanna sound smart. muahaha. Oh the good times with Ms H eh? Her and the weird way of saying 'reciprocal' (pronounced res-ip-proh-cul). LOL. Ai ya... Thanks for asking Mr Tsang about Calculus for me (though I don't think I am 'good enough' for it!)
Oh the good times at Lois's sleepover eh? I will remember that. I had a lot of fun though you came so superiorly late whilst we were watching the Bachelor. Sigh. That was fun!!! But you were being a loser and you didn't go to my sleepover party! :( So you know how you can make it up to all of us? By inviting us to swim at your pool! Haha! Cuz everyone wants to. So you have to invite us. Does your house have a round door like Bilbo does? (ergh.. Bilbo's a hobbit. They have a round front door). Muahaha. so since you're my friend now, is your vocabulary list expanding also? Lol. It should've been exploding if you've met Leaf. Lol.
It's kinda weird how I talk to you on msn every day now cuz I've had you on my list for quite some time haven't I? How the heck did you show up on my list? Probs cuz I needed help on math.. puahaha... Oh the goodness and joys of math!!! Blech. (can you see how all my topics with you end up going back to math? How sad is that?) Yup yup. So I shall end here. Love getting to know you this entire semester of m***. Hope we have a class together next year (which is quite unlikely but whatever!)
Your TOWERING Source of Energy aka ATP (adeosine triphosphate who took the aerobic pathway which lead to my breakdown of fat, protein, and glucose.. ew.. that is totally gross)

Dum dum dum! I did not spend money today! WHEE!! I am so proud of myself that perhaps I will go to the mall and spend some. I am joking. I'm gonna put it in the bank and let it grow a cent or two! Lol. Yay.. I am upping to a 1000!!! I'll be a millionaire soon! YAY!! HAHAHA.
I totally forgot to bring that $50 gift cert till Mitch started talking about Aritzia.. yargh. So stupid of me to forget. Whee.. ERGH!! I can't believe those baggy pants my mom bought were like $20 cheaper! HAHA.. Kitty wants me to feel bad now.. Such a meanie! Oh well.. mom bought them (I'll just keep telling myself that).
You know what was the funniest thing about our little shopping spree was? When Alli and Mitch were trying to tie Steph's hair half up and all up and a few rows down, I was watching this old lady making grimaces and faces when she looked at steph. It was hilarious!! Kitty, Lois and I were laughing our heads off since we were sitting opposite from them... Ah well.. And the comfy seats on the bus.. so nice and cushiony... *yawn*

Lol. Well that took a while (viv!) so I hope you're happy with this one cuz I've decided that it takes too much trouble just to set up a layout so be happy!!! It's gonna be here for a long time...
Aw.. Viv made a special entry to me! I think I'm gonna post it here so I can keep it forever and a day. ;)

sam wong:you got served with a special entry frommm meee :] i met sam this year.. (okay? this sounds like a testimonal for friendster ahha) in math class. lol it was funny cuz i rmb seeing her at our lockers in gr10. haha but everytime we would just not say a single word to each other and stare into our own lockers and pretend the other person wasnt there :P yuppp sammy in my mind was called "lois' friend" or that girl who carries an art portifolio around. haha yahh im glad i met sammy through math class this sem. i never she was soo talkative, and funnn :) noww that i got to know her better .. she towers me! yupp she brings me to math class blocking every tall ppl i'd crash into and i would run and squeeze through the lil holes between ppl and race her to class har har har. as the year process, our conversation in school revolves around math :S hahaha! then on msn we tend to talk about christianity stuff, lotr (whos frodo?:P whats a hobbit?), and our crazzy endless talks about everything else. awww sammy is sooo coool i love talking to her on msn. lol i realized i talked to her almost everyday now.. hhaa! wow, feeeel special sammy. sihg* now i wish i talked to sammy in gr10.. we could have had moree fun times together laughingg. lmao! <-- haahaa! hmm i'll stop here for now.. write more later .. cuz sammy is too special to be stopped here.

hee hee. Viv, I'll do one for you tomorrow cuz my mom just called me up to sleep. Fine.. TODAY. Happy? I still have quite a few hours before TOMORROW arrives.
Btw some of the links don't work (according to a disappointed kitty) so I'll change them tomorrow... ergh.. Btw Viv, I like your entry today (I mean the $20 one). Omg, the things I do for pple. LOL. Like I have to do Calculus at night now (When the left side of my brain is asleep.. wait.. it's always dormant)

Wednesday, June 23, 2004

Omg. Die Toyota. DIE!!! This is such a lose-lose situation. IF the car dealers find out what's wrong with the car (which is quite difficult considering it happens at the most random times and they can't recreate the situation), then we can fix it, sell it (my parents don't wanna sell it to someone and realize something is wrong with it.. sigh.. the guilty conscience) and buy a brand new car. Except that means we'll only have one car for tomorrow so I can't go look at the club with my cousin nor watch a movie with her nor go to the 'draft party'. ;). YARGH. But if we don't get the problem fixed or if they can't see our car just yet, I can do all of that. Except I'm quite scared of the car and don't really trust it that much. Yeah. And our car problem is still here. YERGH!

Kitty and Lois! Are you guys coming on Friday?? Lois, you told Mitch you were. I think we're meeting at Steph's or Mitch's house. So far it's me, alli, steph and mitch. Come come. We'll definitely be back before 4 because loser mitch wants to watch some movie (what's with her and films.. harry potter sucked, you know it). Mitch is off on an ecko shopping rampage. Steph got her purse (whoa. finally. geez. it's exactly like my guess hot pink one but in black).
Doo doo.. April called me this morning (what's with the AY pple calling me in the morning) and on my cell and she was yelling at me "Why didn't you pick up your cell phone!?!" Well sorry, it was 11 and I just woke up from reading till 3:04am. She was cleaning out our art locker and there was this one black folder (Really nice) and I thought it was hers and she thought it was mine.. soo.. lol... and she thought the lock on the locker was mine and I thought it was hers. Yeah. We're two very confused people. Lol. Doo doo doo...
I can hear 'Everybody Loves Raymond' in the background. Mom loves watching that show while she does tai chi. Isn't that weird. She likes that show cuz she finds it real funny. She wants to watch Malcolm in the Middle one day too. Lol. I'm driving her nuts since we started Calculus today. She had to read the chapter for an hour to understand and prepare it ahead of time so she could teach me. And she has to do this every single day. HAHA.. And she has to spend an extra hour reading the gr 9 textbook to teach my bro. So that's two hours of planning. Not to mention all the time she takes the next day attempting to teach our stupid lil right minded brains, left minded activities. ;) Calculus is gross.
Viv where are you. VIV!! You haven't been online today. Did you find out my math mark for me? I know it's disappointing but please don't be so grossed out as to not go online to tell me! Lol. Did you ask her about Calc too? :)
whee.. there's a new book I want besides 'Rule of Four'. It's called the ARt of Crime or something like that.. It's about stolen art (like vermeer and da vinci.. muaha.. do you see a pattern here? Lol). Yeah. I read it in a review and it sounsd quite interesting. Or was it called the Irish Game? Totally forgot. Must go check it out. :) Whee.. won't Leaf be proud of me.. lol. You read Inkheart before? IT's a super thick book but I'm halfway through since last night. :D

Lol. Woke up to the sound of Fiona's voice. This was our conversation:

Fiona: Sam? Can you bring the Lord of the Rings trilogy set to my house today?
Sam: Huh?
Fiona: You know all three dvds especially Return of the King.
Sam: I don't have it.
Fiona: But I thought you did. Dorothy said you did.
Sam: I don't!
Fiona: Oh. I must've dreamed it then.

Lol. What a lovely wake up call. To hear Fiona's voice. Lol. Well anyway, when I got to her house at 6 (an hour late! HAHAHA) we watched ROTK!! :D. cuz Dorothy wanted to watch it (but of course... would I offer up such a suggestion?). They make it so funny to watch. As usual, I was quoting random excerpts of it (Yes! I am getting better at it the more I see the movie!). Lol. At one point of the movie where Shelob was fighting Sam, Fiona, Vicky and Dorothy go
"Sam! Get out the plastic figurine of Samwise and kill a little spider! Bring a flashlight." lol.. Yes. I should've brought that figurine they got me for my birthday present. :P. When we reached the walking elves part, Fiona points to Arwen and goes "LOOK! It's SAM!!!". They apparently believe I look her. right.. right. Well I guess that's a compliment? LOL. Maybe I could be Liv Tyler's stunt double except she doesn't have any serious action parts. Lol. We saw this orc who seriously looked like Darth Vader. It was kinda funny. Lol. And we found all these comical things in it (dorothy laughed every time Gollum said 'fat hobbit') and we were mimicking Frodo for being so stupid and naive as to ditch Sam (hmph). Lol. Okay. I'll stop now. Sadly we didn';t finish the entire dvd. So therefore I've watched ROTK 3.75 times. :)
I met a couple of Fiona's friends. And seriously one looks really like Alice! HAHAHA.. Her name is Candy. Are you related in any way, Alice? LOL. I wanted to ask her but decided not to. lol. Midway through we had dinner: make our own sushi. And this was the first time I had ever tried raw salmon. Seriously. Lol. I'm not really into the raw stuff but there wasn't anything else. I'm a pro at rolling seaweed, fish and rice together now. lol. We tried to make Fiona sing since she takes singing lessons. It was hilarious. Lol. Sorry Fiona (who turned red and looked increasingly more wacked with those white contacts. you cannot tell who she is addressing cuz the pupil is like a dot and looks really freaky. lol). Yup yup, we celebrated her early birthday with a mango mousse cake. It was good. She sang 'Killing Me Softly'. Lol. So now I am home.. oh great. My mom bought me the calc textbook. Anyone know which chapters we have to do??? Do we just do calc or do advanced functions as well? SOMEONE TELL ME! ARGH. Btw, I drove from Hillcrest all the way back. The only problem I had was getting out of the stall. NEarly crashed into the two cars beside me and my mom and dad were going hysterical. It was funny. Oh. Forgot to check my blind spot one time.. la dee da...
OMG! It took me so long to get Fiona's number. After our conversation about lotr, I tried to redial from the call display except they kept on telling me it was an old number. So I called Tanya, Dorothy and Maria but none of them were home. -_-. So I called Dorothy again and asked her grandma for Dorothy's cell number. IT was actually the Yip's Music school number so I asked the receptionist to connect me to Dorothy but she got her dad instead. He told me Dorothy was in the other music building and gave me the number. I must've copied it wrong cuz instead of "Yips Music School. How can I help you" I got something about Microsoft. So I swapped two numbers and finally got connected to Yips where that receptionist told me to leave a message. Dorothy finally called me and had to call Tanya for Fiona's address and number. I called Fiona just to tell her how much trouble I had to go through just to get that stupid address of hers. 81 Pringle Ave. I will never forget it.

Bought:
AE Sunset Roll-Up Pants
AE Beach Capris
AE Dunebuggy Beach Capris

Total: $169
Paid by: Mom
Guilt: Lessened by usage of Visa rather from own pocket

:). So while everyone was at school I was out shopping cuz my mom needed to get some gourmet chocolates for my bro's gr 8 teacher. Yeah. Went to the grad today and got a headache from sitting in the humid, stuffy church. Saw some people from my own Gr 8 class.. sigh.

I'm so annoyed at interior design. I worked so hard on my interior projects and ended up with a 88.5% (so my average is still at 86%. I wanted to pull it up to a 90). On the other hand, the collage that I did of Kitty, Julia and I.. I got 92% and I didn't really try which really pisses me off because she obviously doesn't see the time I spent on one thing versus the other. The chair project was iffy too.. I got perfect for Crafsmanship and 9/10 for everything else. Geez. Why can't she just give me perfect since I know I spent way more time than other pple in making this worthless thing that is only 5% of my total interior mark. Well at least my art mark will go up cuz I did well on the collage and super duper on my art history test (same as collage mark). Geez...
Now to think of schedule for summer.. Sleepover at cousin's house on july 17th (yay! I wanna see King Arthur!).. oh goody, Dorothy and I are going to the IAOD (International Academy for Design and Technology) to take a course in interior design for five days. :). I hope it'll do some good to me for the future. I'm quite excited but nervous.. meh.. it's still a few days away.
Btw did you know this was the longest day of the year?!?!? IT'S GOING DOWNHILL FROM HERE! NO!! I ENJOY GAZING AT THE SUNSETS!! YARGH!! WINTER IS COMING! LOL.

He knows my name.
He knows my every thought.
He sees each tear that falls.
And he hears me when I call.

For CD Team we went to Laser Quest (yes!! I've gone up a level! I'm not last like the other time we went with the fellowship! I was last out of 30 people! LOL. this time I'm 13th! Out of 14 pple! HAHAHA). Yeah so it was fun.. The girls were trying to get the guys in one corner (yes I shot Pastor Herman!). Yeah but it was a lot of bumping and running into people and mistaken identities. Lol. IT was fun though. Really sweaty afterwards. Good work out. :). Then we went back to the church and this girl called Angela told me about her little visit to the Much Music place on Queen's street and met Amy Lee and got her picture and autograph on her hand (She won't wash it off). The autgraph looks like some henna design.. not an autograph. Ergh.. that guy from Much Music, (rick?) gave her four backstage passes to the Awards tonight.. is that insane or what. All cuz she had purple hair. So she was also telling me about how she met britney spears and christina in Thailand cuz she had connections and how she met Agassi cuz she accidentally hit the (purple) ball in the other court and she went to retrieve it, finding Agassi holding it and mentioning how interesting the colour of the purple ball was. Lol. She asked for his autograph and he just so 'happened' to have a permanent marker in his bag. lol. She gave it away to her cousin. Boo. I wanna see it! so anyway, we had family gathering after to celebrate Father's Day. :D. I washed my dad's car with soap and the works and vaccuumed inside, washed the rubber mats and dusted the mats (fell asleep from exhaustion afterwards) only to be given the comment 'oh it's 'ma ma dei' because the front still has a few bugs on it'. -_-. Sorry. The bugs are these little unrecognizable crap that's grown hard and needs to be scratched off. Geez. The car before had tons of dust and hardwater on it... and I couldn't stand it so I washed it. So picky. But it was such a gorgeous day today! :). Anyway, dinner was fun.. rather boring at times cuz food was so slow but had good talk with cousins (rob and I were scaring the rest with our LOTR wedding). We went back to my house after and Jonathan recited the whole poem 'all that is glitter is not gold... etc etc' in my ear and then out loud when he cut his ice cream cake for his birthday. LOL. It was so adorable!
Dum dum dum! Talking to Steph now.. Lol.. interesting.. No worries, I shall go to the VC charity game next year! HAHA.. And I'll try to sit as far away from you as possible when taking pics like last year! :P

Okie dokie, time to just chat and get off blog.. doo doo doo.. Sarah's career future is confusing me.

Grace, Mitch, Steph, Lois, Viv and Tania. Very rarely do I talk to six people at once. Lol. Except Viv is now ignoring me after she told me about softball!
Whee.. $15 richer! HAHA.. From babysitting for two hours ($7.5/hour but I stayed an extra half hour anyway). They had the cutest 1.5 year old toddler! His name's Cobey (spelt something like that) and he was always holding this squishy basketball ball and Rob said he'd become the next Kobe Bryant cuz he's so big already! Such a huge baby. So adorable! Anyway, I need to scrounge up enough money as I can to last me the rest of the summer. Lol. I am allowance-less. Noo... But I know my rich friend (coughmitchcough) can treat me to something. :P. Btw I am not getting you that bracelet. And Steph go get your purse.. aerakejreanr. When you find the one you want, you don't get it.
Lol. Kitty was telling me about a pair of K Swiss shoes she wanted (that I'd get just to spite her) and she asked me WWJD (what would Jesus do)? LOL I said Jesus would divide it into 5000 pieces. Lol. IF you get what I mean (the story of Jesus feeding the 5000). She felt like being mean and I was her target. -_-. Lol. We had this stupid argument on whether or not 'Meant to Live' was the first or the second song on the Beautiful Letdown cd. Lol. And I was right, it was first, not second. I think I should know cuz I have the cd? She mentioned how much she liked the song (omg can't remember the song.. ERGH. I only the know lyrics.. how sad but it was the second song *sam draws a blank* Sorry.. Cant think of lyrics either whilst on the phone with cousin... that is sad..it'll come to me soon.. BING! no wait.. I keep mixing up all the songs together.. AH!! I've lost my head)
dum dum dum... tired.. Sigh. No brainer entry today. Was doing this while on phone so it probs makes totally no sense. Anyway...

Silky
Ambivalent
Meek

(that's just to please whoever likes the abbreviated version of my name.) Samantha is basically:
sappy (what the heck?)
awesome (I totally agree with that! :P don't roll your eyes at me!)
mischievous (I'm a perfect angel. :P Even that makes me laugh)
accurate (no comment)
new (new to what)
tough (yes.. I'm a very tough person. *raised eyebrow emoticon*
huge (are you calling me fat? LOL. what a stupid adjective)
ambivalent

What a stupid thingie viv. LOL. Silky.. puahahaha... reminds me of milk and silk. :P Well whatever.

MITCH IS A LOSER FOR DITCHING ME TO GO TO SPAIN AND HK! ARE YOU READING THIS!?!?! YOU BETTER FEEL SORRY FOR ME! LOL. I mean why go to Spain when I'm in the TO? LOL. I'm kidding. Just go to the Italian restaurant called Grappas located at Pacific PLACE (not mall) or at the GORGEOUS airport (it kicks butt) and try their cream of spinach soup with fresh shrimp.. yargh. I want one! You know you want to try it since we always go to Civic Center to see the 'Soup du Jour'. LOL.. or in one case 'Les Trois Soups du Jour'. Yeah, my french is terrible now but you suck even more for dropping the course. lol. Maybe I should too... hm.. You suck Mitch. I hope you don't lose your pounds only if you stay here and go to the club with me! HAHA.. Okay that's mean so I'm sorry. :P. But it's hard to lose weight in HK cuz there's so much yummy food there *drool*. Email me when you're there and tell me about your progress and all the shopping. Ah I don't really like shopping at the markets cuz it's first of all very crowded (mong kok is killer) and number 2: they never have my size. NEVER. They have it in my size width wise but you know how I'm above the norm height for a chinese person (must be from eating so much dessert as a child :P) so it's always too short.. But get lots of stuff there cuz you'll regret not buying it (like me and my cousins -_- You can even get a prom dress for like $500 HK. And it's nice too according to some HK friends)At least when you come back we can go shopping and you can be nice and treat me to something since you'd be loaded with cash by then! :P NOOO You can't do this to me you loser!!! You not gonna try kickboxing with me? come on.. LOL. Exactly what do you do in kickboxing? You suck Mitch. You just ruined my lovely summer. :P. You know you're just doing this to spite me. :(

Viv and I had this pretty good conversation the day before yesterday on how Christians always get picked on whereas other religions don't. Haven't you noticed that? No one goes against the Buddhists nor the Muslims. No one challenges their beliefs. And we were wondering why people do that and they should stop it. But then it hit me. Christians are picked on because of their rather radical belief. It makes people think you know? If people are compelled to challenge the Christian faith, it kinda indicates that something is working inside them.. I don't really know how to explain it in words.. Like something is making them stop and saying "Hey... Christianity is this and this and that it's different.. etc". And to challenge the faith.. it helps us, who follow that faith to weave a tighter net when people seem to find holes in it and try to challenge us with difficult questions. Hey the 'tighter net' metaphor just reminded me of fishing.. you know how Peter and all those people were fishermen, and Jesus told them to be 'fishers of men'? That's kinda cool.. lol. If you get what I'm saying. I once read that if you 'threw a stone in a pack of dogs, the one who barks the loudest is the one you hit'. Get it? The ones who bark the loudest, the ones who challenge you most, may be the ones who are getting close to the truth. And you can't run away from the truth. The harder you try, the quicker you fall for it.

Lol. The beginning paragraph of the book 'Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction' was hilarious cuz the writer was being so sarcastic. He said, while Mel Gibson's film 'the passion of christ' was labelled as a 'gory film with not point to it.' and Mel Gibson being a 'money obsessed moviemaker' but it's historically accurate whereas Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Code' is totally inaccurate, obscured.. can make millions of dollars and get praise from all the critics. This is our time. Take the Jesus prototype and obscure it as much as you can. Make him gay, married, a rock and roller, a superstar... So that you no longer recognize him after you're done... sigh.

So yesterday I was reading this book called 'Jesus Among Other Gods' by this Indian author who converted to Christianity when he found all other religions meaningless. He likes to call it the 'supermarket of religions'. If you believe in worshiping wiener dogs, that's fine cuz you may be right you know? There could be some secret god hidden in that tiny body. But who is to say you're wrong? Cuz that's our society today. Anyway,he took this quote from Napolean and I found it really amazing and profound at the same time. Napolean was a great military commander who had conquered all of civilized Europe so he understood power and prestige. This is his extraordinary statement about Jesus.

Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and I myself have founded great empires; but upon what did these creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions will die for Him.... I think I understand something of human nature; and I tell you, these were men, and I am a man: none else is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man... I have inspired multitudes with such an enthusiastic devotion that they would have died for me.. but to do this was necessary that I should be visibly present with the electric influence of my looks, my words, of my voice. When I saw men and spoke to them, I lighted up the flame of self-devotion in their hearts...Christ alone has succeeded in so raising the mind of man towards the unseen, that it becomes insensible to the barriers of time and space. Across a chasm of eighteen hundred years, Jesus Christ makes a demand which is beyond all others difficult to satisfy; He asks for that which a philosopher may often seek in vain at the hands of his friends, or a father or his children, or a bride of her spouse, or a man of his brother. He asks for the human heart; He will have it entirely to Himself. He demands it unconditionally; and forwith His demand is granted. Wonderful! In defiance of time and space, the soul of man, with all its powers and faculties, becomes an annexation to the empire of Christ. All who sincerely believe in Him, experience that remarkable, supernatural love towards Him. This phenomenon is unaccountable; it is altogether beyond the scope of man's creative powers. Time, the great destroyer, is powerless to extinguish this sacred flame; time can neither exhaust its strength nor put a limit to its range. This is it, which strikes me most I have often thought of it. This it is which proves to me quite convincingly the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

When I finished reading that, the words just blew me away. Here was a man who had power, prestige.. Someone who was probably very proud of what he had accomplished in the physical world.. he could have anything he wanted. And here he was giving so much insight on as to why he believes Jesus was more than a man. That he inspired millions even if he wasn't present. He made such a comparison between himself as a general and of Jesus Christ and his followers. Napolean had to inspire men by being physically there and with the looks and such.. but Jesus can do it without being physically present in this world. He recognized that while he took countries by force, Jesus swept nations away with love. Empires of this world are built upon force, greed, corruption, wealth. God's empire is built on love. And besides, remember? "and these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.". Which empire have you chosen to live in?

Life is more than money, time was never money
time was never cash, life is still more than girls.
Life is more than hundred dollar bils and roto-tom fills.
Life is more than fame and rock and roll and thrills.
All the riches of the kings end up in wills
We've got information in the information age
but do we know what life is outside of our convenient Lexus cages?

Wow everyone is studying and I am not. Ironically all the smart people are, and the stupid ones (like me) aren't. Maybe that's why we're stupid. haha..Iono. I've been sleeping so much today. After the history exam, I went swimming with my mom and then had lunch at Maxim's (mmm yummy grilled chicken caesar salad!), grocery shopping at the chinese plaza (go green tea ice cream!) and came back home... and I felt so dizzy and weak that I just fell asleep on the couch. Then I got up and looked at math. NB 'LOOKED' at math, not do.. how very scary of a concept. hopefully I've absorbed something useful for tomorrow's death sentence. But I am so sleepy. Must be the lack of sleep from this whole entire year of waking up at 6:35am has accumulated and being dumped on me at this critical moment. Yeah, I can't wait till the math exam is over! YARGH.. YAY! Steph just msged me! I'm not the only insane one not hitting the books. lalala.. Whilst I was studying math I was wondering as to why we're all so trying so hard to do well in school.. when it leads to a diploma.. then off we go to university to study for the 'career of our dreams'. We apply for a job and work away, fall in love, get married, perhaps have kids... retire (possibly if you're not dead yet) and hopefully be able to enjoy the wealth that we've accumulated for so many years just to spend it when we're old.. then die, disappearing off the face of this earth. So what are we living for? Is this all it comes down to? Don't you think there's more to life than this? Everything we've come to workd hard for, earn: friends, money, a house, a car, girlfriends, boyfriends, a family, stocks and bonds, sponsoring a child.. even things that are meant to do good to the world. Of course those things are good but what about yourself? Where are you going to go? Exams seem so trivial when you think about it. See what effect math has on me?
Viv why aren't you online as usual.. you loser who is probably studying away at math and not slowing down to wait for me as you said you would! Well anyway, here's the entry about the Pros of having a Best Friend since I did all the Cons and you said I ought to do the Pros. This is dedicated to the most ignorant lotr 'fan' ever: Viv. ;) (who is frodo?!?! ERGGH)

How should I start this? We all know the typical, cliche things as to how a best friend is chosen and the qualities that we all seek in one.. someone who can fulfill the role of a listener, a sibling, a joker yet someone who can take you seriously, a comforter etc etc. The list can go on and on...
To tell you the truth Viv, I no longer know what it feels like to have a best friend (or do I?). I've been trying to type this whole 'essay' (or whatever you choose to call it) for quite a while... and I can only come up with negative things about having one. I can only tell you what I felt and the good things that I thought I had in a best friend.. someone who I trusted a lot and loved a lot because she was my sole friend when everyone rejected me (literally). Let me tell you about my past experience with my best friend (whom I no longer really keep in contact with).
For the first term in my new high school of year 7.. that's gr.... 6 here? Yeah this was in HK by the way. I was rejected by many of the girls in my class (much like Harry Potter we were put into 'teams' for our classes so to speak.. I was in the green team 'Rutherford'. All the teams are named after famous scientists and artists and whatnot such as Da Vinci (orange), Einstein(purple), Nansen (blue) and Wilberforce.(yellow)..there's a red but I don't remember what it is anymore) and anyway, all the girls kept to themselves and didn't really talk to me much cuz I wasn't 'cool' you know? At the time I didn't dress like them (spaghetti straps, tube tops.. stuff like that) so for the first term I was quite alone except for a few acquaintances whom I played tag with around our big school. So since I am running out of time, basically I befriended this new girl called Debbie who had recently moved from England to Hong Kong. Having her as a friend brought other friends along, including those who made fun of me and rejected me early on. I guess we were really tight, and we always did stuff together. But time got the better of our friendship and slowly we faded out due to other friendships and also the fact that I moved to canada in gr 8. So I'm not exactly the best person to tell you about best friends. I think you are the best person to tell me what it feels to have a best friend. So I guess this whole monologue was just to tell you why I can't find any good things about having a best friend because I'm bitter. So why dont you write me an entry Viv? Tell me why a best friend is good because I no longer know. And why did you choose him? How do you know whether or not one of us could be a potential best friend when you haven't explored that deep enough because you already picked one?

doo doo doo.. everyone is studying so hard for thursday exams.. and I'm not even studying for my history exam tomorrow.. lol. I just read my notes... exactly what do we have to know.. to me, it's like a story... just read it and it naturally unfolds. Yeah.. I was studying and thinking how ironic it is that scientists believe that evolved apes (hominids) who just do nothing all day but eat plants and sleep in caves can just go BANG!!!! I think we should make watercraft and sail to Australia!!! Yes, scientists believe that there was a Great Leap Forward where these homo sapiens went from dumb to pure geniuses. The Great Leap Forward: The development of modern anatomy and beginning of innovative behaviour. Burst of innovation and creativity lead to the creatons of: tools. weapons, needles and awns, mortars and pestles, axes, harpoons, darts, spear throwers, sculpture and watercraft.
Okay.. this is completely illogical. How can you just go from dumb to smart? And why aren't we doing that now? Why aren't we just bursting into smart geniuses? Why did it only happen once? See, scientists are being unscientific. I think believing God made the world is so much easier. God created the world. The end. Not "Oh.. uh... from being evolved dumb apes.. we suddenly expanded our brain masses.. how we expanded them? Er... iono... How did we know to make watercraft and where to sail? Iono.. maybe they just decided.. Hey we can float! Let's stick logs together and a piece of cloth and go to the unknown!" seriously.. this is pathetic.

Now I bought my switchfoot cd. I also bought a book called 'Da Vinci Code:fact or fiction"? And I really want this book called "Breaking the Da Vinci Code". Wow. And now.. WOW! lol. I read the first one.. and it's so good. You know what, when I first read the Da vinci code, I started doubting my belief. I mean Jesus was married right? And it even says in the Gospel of Philip and Mary Magdalene.. wow.. what is up with that. For those who haven't read it, you won't get what my arguments are because it's really factual (viv: aka FACTS! LOL) So here goes. Btw, this book is by a historian who is also a prof at Western Michigan uni for ancient history and studied in Harvard so this is not made up by some wacko. Dan Brown (the author) wrote on the first page that everything was a fact. And a lot of it is.. eerily to say so... well anyway.. This is the truth:

The Priory of Sion that was in charge of covering up the secret lineage of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
Dan Brown claims: Founded in 1099
Facts: Founded in 1956.. he's a bit off..

Dan Brown claims: "The Priory of Sion believes that Constantine and his male successors successfully converted the worlkd from matriarchal paganism to patriarchal Christianity by waging a campaign of propaganda that demonized the sacred feminine, obliterating the goddess of modern religion forever" pg 124.
The author claims that Constantine not only eliminated goddess worship in the Roman Empire, he also collated the Bible, used Christiaity for political gain, moved Christian worship from Saturday to Sunday then decided that Jesis should be made into a deity in order to suit his own purposes.
Fact: The first emperor did many things for the church and society in the early fourth century but not one of these is claims among them. NONE OF THEM.

Dan Brown claims: Leigh Teabing (character in book) said that Constantine "commissioned and financed a new Bible, which omitted those gospoels that spoke of Christ's human traits and embellished those gospels that made him godlike" ph 234.

Fact: False. Most of the canon was well known and in use nearly two centuries before Constantine, a time when the early church had already dismissed many gospels that arose later in the second century. The rejected gospels, far from containing the real truth about Jesus, were all distortions deprived from the first-century Gospels and laced with fancy aberrations.

Dan Brown claims: Constantine "was a lifelong pagan who was baptized on his deathbed, too weak to protest" pg232.

Fact: HAHA Even I can tell you myself without copying from the book after studying World History (Wow it actually came in use this time) that Constantine was converted by his daughter but he did continually to make sacrifices to the pagan gods.

Dan Brown claims: Constantine shifted the Christian worship from Saturday to Sunday to coincide with the pagan's veneration day of the sun.

Fact: The earliest Christians started worshiping on the first day of the week, sunday, which they called 'the Lord's Day" to honor the day on which Christ rose from the dead. Proof? Acts 2-:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Revelation 1:10.

Dan Brown claims:"The early Church needed to convince the world that the mortal prophet Jesus was a divine being. Therefore, any gospels that described earthly aspects of Jesus's life had to be omitted from the Bible. Unfortunately for the early editors, one particular troubling earthly theme kept recurring in the gospels. Mary Magdalene... More specifically, her marriage to Jesus Christ. It's a matter of historical record." (244)

Fact: He did not wed anyone. There is no evidence. The gospel of Philip (that wrote "And the companion of the Saviour is Mary Magdalene. Christ loved her more than all the disciples and used to kiss her often on the mouth . The rest of the disciples were offended by it and expressed disapproval. They said to him "Why do you love her more than all of us?" pg 246.)
If Jesus had a wife, it would have been unthinkable for his disciples to speak out against her, no matter how strong their disapproval. Plus the Gospel of Philip was not written in Aramic, as he claims, but in Greek. And Philip is very late among the apocryphal gospels, dating to the third century, at least two centuries removed from Jesus's time. Scholars dismiss this work as having no genuine historical recollections that are not drawn from the canonical Gospels. The same is true of the other document, the Gospel of Mary Magdalene which is also too late for credibility. And none of them even specified that he married Mary. And yet Brown wrote "I shan't bore you with the countless references to Jesus and Magdalene's union, said Teabing" (247). But such references can indeed be counted: there are only two. Both are late and even do not explicitly report any 'union' of Jesus and Mary. And why is there no record of his marriage? No history. No record. We do have evidence though that he did not marry. Consider the letter that Paul wrote to the Corinthians. Paul defended his right to have a wife: "Do we not have the right to be accompanied by a wife, as the other apostles, and the brothers of the Lord and Peter?" Now if Jesus himself was married, Paul would surely have cited that as the greatest precedent of all, after which it would have been unnecessary even to mention the other examples such as Peter.

Dan Brown claims: Da Vinci painted Mary Magdalene rather than John in the Last Supper.

Fact: If he really did paint Mary Magdalene.. where is John? Besides that was the way the artist painted: young men with a feminine physique. If he really did have Mary in his mind, he would've painted 14 figures rather than Jesus and the Twelve.

Well that's a lot to swallow (and I'm scared this entry is gonna get deleted or something screwed would happen to my comp). So I'll leave it for now. There's more. I haven't read the Truth section yet where Dan Brown is actually right.. but that's for another day. Btw, the Mona Lisa was not an adrogynous self-portrait but an actual portrait of a real personality. And Noah of the Ark is not an albino. The monk of Opus Dei in the book had no trouble seeing but albinos would have eye problems that is true with real albinism.

Viv, I'll give you my pros of best friends tomorrow if I have time after studying!

Monday, June 14, 2004

Wow. Today was our last lunch together guys (technically it was last friday cuz SOMEONEKITTY had to go 'home' to do stuff)... I feel so sad already... cajun fries.. mitch: grilled chicken caesar salad.. BLT.. more BLT.. Second Cup Tuesdays... When I realized it was gone, I never knew how much I enjoyed spending those lunches with you guys.. I really did although I may not have really known it at the time with Steph frantically writing last minute English notes, Kitty sleeping, Mitch.. what the heck was mitch doing... oh yeah! Talking to herself with her nose in the biology binder! HAHA. Sigh. I don't think we'll have the same lunch next year.. But thanks for the lovely memories.. LOL.. Steph: "I'll see you next year-oh I mean tomorrow." lol. Sleep earlier! You don't know what you have until it's gone.
Mitch: We've got to plan something before pple start going to summer school.. if we don't get anything done with the crew, we'll go to the club and check it out (And you can see if they have hot guys. *sam rolls her eyes*). Yay for Pilates, Yoga and kickboxing! I wanna do kickboxing. Lol.. Everybody watch out.. lol. And let's go shopping! Cuz I wanna spend that $50.. AND you can spend that $300. I am so jealous! HAHA.. Btw, either go to SF or stay here. lol. If you go to SF we can meet up there.. lol.. Tell me if you want anything.
OH yeah! We're getting a new car! whoohoo! We're still looking into it though. We're thinking of this Nissan X Trailer (or something like that). It's an SUV much like the QX4 car we have now (burgundy). Its only available in Canada! Isn;t that cool? People from NY come up just to get it cuz they don't sell it anywhere else in the world.. aw.. don't we feel so special? I want to get the blue one. It's so cool! It has a little cooler in the front to store cold drinks. Lol. And the hugest sun roof thingie too! It stretches from the front all the way to the passenger seats! Woooo..... Mesmerized. I want a bluuuuue car!!

Okay just for viv: my newfound friend and locker buddy for two years though we never knew each other everytime we passed by (I remember her with her guitar and someone else who would come with her to the locker.. forgot who. this was semester one! HAHA.. And now I know her... what a.... privilege.. COUGH)

So for the second billionth trillionth time: Why I don't believe/like the term 'best friend'. SIGH! ARGH! And I am not liable for anyone's hurt feelings cuz this is based on my own opinion and experiences. So don't yell at me. If you don't wanna read my little philosophy, just skip it and scroll down.
My initial feelings on the word 'best friend' is a person whom you have extracted from a bunch of your friends to be 'the number one' and the 'best out of the rest'. And you see, I think it's kinda hurtful for those who are kinda closer to you, and to know that you have someone you think highly of more than them. It kinda excludes everyone else of this special circle where it's only you and the Chosen One.
Labeling someone as a 'best friend' can also prevent you from 'digging deeper' into other friendships. Say for example, Linda wanted to be your friend and gradually you came to know her and became good buddies. She's really excited to know you more, to become closer to you, but she finds out you already have a best friend.. so how close can she get to you since you already have someone more special? She may have become discouraged cuz you already have a person singled out and deemd as a best friend. you can hurt people unintentionally. Well of course it really depends what you define as a 'best friend'. But the word 'best' means superior than the rest (okay something like that.. I'm not a walking dictionary like Leaf! HAHA). So Linda would think "Oh I can't be Viv's really good friend cuz she already has someone that she loves more than I". You know what I mean? I'm not saying best friends drag you down and keep your social circle a minimal but I think it does kinda 'cripple' the other budding relationships you have with other friends.
And it's always good to have a group of close friends cuz what if your best friend isn't there for you? You can't just say "Oh Clarence has always been there for me.. when I'm sad, hurt or angry" because we're all just human. So what if he's the one who hurts you or does something? I know you have other close friends, but I'm just using this as an example. It doesn't apply to every single person on this planet. It's a generalisation.

Yeah so that's it for now Viv. I'd rather use 'close friend' rather than 'best'.

Whoa.. just received an email from Derek inviting a whole bunch of us to his grad (I probs go cuz my cousin is graduating,... aw.. I'll miss her so much!) And at the bottom he wrote:
"Can we just get one thing settled once and for all? Love is an action. Love is
a do thing; it’s not a feel thing. Sometimes you feel love; sometimes you don’t.
But it always is a do thing. It’s a choice. As I was thinking about this, I
wrote this definition: Love is an act of my will to put someone else’s good
ahead of what’s good for me. So boil that definition down to three words. Love
is: You Before Me. That’s the whole thing right there."
- James MacDonald

That's kinda cool.. cuz we always base love as the way we feel towards a person.. it's kinda difficult, I'd imagine, to love someone even when you're in a tough situation and you don't 'feel' the love you know? People always think that love is a feeling and when you don't 'feel' that love anymore for a girlfriend/boyfriend, why, the spark has gone out.. so let's break up cuz we don't 'feel' it anymore. Lol. Randomness... Oh, I'm reading a book called 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Lol. My mom bought it for me and said it sounded interesting and funny.. so here goes...

OMG! YA!! I'm going to this interior design program for five days with Dorothy! Karen from church, said she couldn't go to the fashion design so she gave me the pamphlet and basically what you do is go downtown every day for five days and learn with professionals and take field trips to galleries and showrooms to see how everything is done in the 'real world' (why do we call it the real world? IF the world is real, why need to justify it by repeating ourselves? Lol). Yeah, I wasn't gonna go by myself but Dorothy was just as excited when I told her today so we immediately called her parents at third.. lol... the money is due tomorrow! And I was tihnking that no one would go with me at such late a notice. April wants to too but NO she has summer school! HAHA.. I'm excited!! WHEEEEEE.. okay viv.. here you go... I'm so paranoid that it'd delete.. lol. .so I keep copying.. ctrl C ...ctrl C...

Sunday, June 13, 2004

Go watch the 'Dare you to Move' music video (it's the only way I can actually listen to the song legally but pple at church told me you could download it for 24 hours and then delete it. Cuz it's legal in Canada.. oh well..):

http://search.launch.yahoo.com/search/lsearch/video?p=switchfoot

It's good. :D. Very... symbolic I guess with a man running the opposite way of everyone else. It's good. The song is beautiful too. Yay, Rob said she's gonna go to Mitchell's with me. .but I just remembered I'm not going to school on Tuesday.. -_-.She's gonna get the Switchfoot cd too. Lol. She was laughing at me too and Alex was like "You just found out now, how good switchfoot is???" haha.. I was like "ah.. I'm slow.. sorry" And the guitars are so cool! :D I wanna learn how to play guitar.. Come on Loiser, let's learn together!

Haha.. today's sermon was the funniest and the most unusual sermon ever: How to have great sex and romance. It was hilarious. Seriously. You hear the words that pastors usually wouldn't say. And Pastor Herman pulled out some really interesting facts from Songs of Songs (basically love songs between a man and woman) that'd you wouldn't think of usually. No one really reads that book right? Cuz it's all about a man and woman talking to each other about how much they love each other.. it's all poetic drivel right? Well it's actually kinda cool of what you can get out of it.

Steph: Hang on there. You will get through four exams. you'll see. Sorry, this sounds so pathetically cliched and easy to say right? Cuz I'm not the one whose suffering through studying four exams. Well whatever the cause might be, I hope you'll do your best in whatever you do. Get goodnight's sleep cuz it's been proven that you remember more afterward. And pray about it you know. Cuz when you ask, He'll give. So don't give up, steph! when you feel tired, just close your eyes for a bit. Take a shower.. go out for a walk.. seriously, just a little break helps you to feel refreshened and energized to study! So good luck. You will do well. I know you will. Don't feel overwhelmed (easy for me to say) but study bit by bit! :) Last lunch eh? I feel sad...
I wonder what if feels like to have a near death experience. Okay, perhaps I've never really had a near death experience but just half an hour ago, I experienced this total numbing sensation when we were driving back home. Our SUV Toyota (never get the Rav 4. It sucks and will eventually come to kill us all) has had this problem with the gas pedal before once when my dad was taking me to the bus stop. The gas pedal had no 'pump' to it so we went speeding towards an intersection (bathurst) so my dad had to brake hard. We took it the dealer but they said they couldn't find the problem since they could not recreate the situation. So... as for today, we took two cars to church and back: my mom and I were in the Rav 4 and whilst on Elgin Mills, my mom started to brake on and off. And I was like "What are you doing.. why are you braking, we haven't hit Oxford yet" and she told me that the gas pedal was 'loose'. And then our car started to make this super loud VROOM noise, and it scared the crap out of me. You feel this numbing sensation where your brain has just frozen. And all I could think about was "What did YD tell me to do.." lol. And whether or not I'd die today from some car explosion (must be from too many movies). Your muscles tighten and you feel like.. I don't know how to describe it but I was so afraid. Cuz you have no idea what the heck is going on with your car. And you're in it. You're trapped in this skeletal structure of steel. You feel superiorly vulnerable and realize how fragile life is (geez, did I get that philosophical in that car..lol) So we stopped around 6 car lengths on the left turn lane. We stopped the car but every time my mom tried to start the car, it would make that freaky loud VROOM sound so we gave up and called my dad who was heading north on Elgin Mills. When he arrived, he started the car, and it was perfectly fine. And I was telling him how we should get a new car cuz this car will eventually be the cause of our death. Either that, or we sue Toyota cuz they make the crappiest cars. And we've only had that car for 3 years! GEEZ. Stupid stupid. I say we get that Subaro, blue SUV. Really pretty! :D. Haha.. that's all for now. Gonna go back to work.

The increasing amount of frustration is mounting and it's getting to me. Not just art but everything-everyone. When I sought for solace, you gave me none. Go away, I don't want to talk to you. The unwanted hatred is welling up and it's going to pour out any second. Today the sky was blue, dappled leaves danced as the sun peeked out through the silhouetted twigs. But inside.. inside was dark. No actually it wasn't. Everything was fine in the beginning. Until.. until... I want to run. Run away from myself. But the shadow follows close behind. you are cold. I no longer know you. Not now. But maybe.. maybe.. but not now. What I want, you give me none. Fine, I shall seek for it somewhere else. So now the shadow has passed, and I am okay again. Just a fleeting moment. A flickering second. Now my former self has returned: happy, lively: a painted body with wings that I thought would make me fly.
aejkraedfja... "Why did I not start working on this earlier?" oh yes, the question we always ask ourselves when a deadline approaches nearer and nearer. Grrr... stupid stupid.. I am stupid. well anyway, today was the most perfect day to go for a car drive. So Julia and I drove to Silver City and watched Harry Potter. The film critics were right, it wasn't that good... in fact, it sucked more than the second one. And I thought the second one was really good. Yeah, so Julia drove me back home after and we sat in the car for ten minutes to sign each other's year books. I gave her my last minute ramble letter... she's going to Geoffrey Ballet school tomorrow for a whole entire month. Aw... Yay, I'm listening to 'Dare you to Move' LEGALLY by watching the music video! lol. Yeah.. I love it a lot... Several lyrics that really stood out to me:

'Dare You to Move':
Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
What happens next

Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
Tension is here
Between who you are and who you could be
Between how it is and how it should be

Meant to Live:
Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken...

And everything inside screams for second life, yeah

Btw, Kitty, you have to finish the signage! It's going really well, your little filler! I haven't read it yet though. the writing is so tiny compared to everyone else's ginormous writing. yup yup.. gonna go now before my comp screws up AGAIN. Lots of work to do.. Screwed..

Ideal Schedule drafted up during art class (in prioritized order):
1. Finish perspective drawing (colouring)
2. Do Collage (digitally alter Julia and Kitty's pictures)
3. Do math
4. Write letter
5. Do sample board (then this was scrapped.. realizing that I'd write letter on comp and not do sample board)

Realistic Schedule (as in what happened):
1. Completed half of Perspective drawing. Time for completion (so far): 3.5 rounds of Pirates of the Caribbean (minus two songs that I didn't really like)

Yeah... the rest of it just went down the drain.. I'm actually writing the letter right now.. but I've only started. Lol. And I have fifteen minutes... ARGH! YEAR BOOKS TOMORROW! WHEE!! HAHA.. Steph, you want me to wear the melo jersey? Maybe I'll wear vince.. iono... if I feel like wearing it, I will "I feel Melo today." haha...
Lala.. so addicted to the song... it's so pretty. :D. LOL. Back to writing... I plan to finish my perspective and collage tomorrow and start studying math. I'm pretty ambitious eh? I think I am. I feel like Napolean or Alexander the Great or Julius Caesar... but just not with their kind of goals... plus I'm not gonna die in battle or commit suicide or be a victim of some murder. :P

Sigh. this is so sad of me. Since I have to wait till NEXT TUESDAY to get my 'Beautiful Letdown' Switchfoot cd, I've LEGALLY downloaded the music video to 'Meant To Live'.. so basically I can just hear that song over and over again. :P. I know.. very cunning. ;). Lalala... I want the cd.. I want the cd.. my... my preciousss.. lol. Okay, I'll stop being stupid now. See what math does to you! 'We were meant to live for so much more, if we lost ourselves..'
Wow, I think I can actually finish my interior perspective drawing by Friday. MAYBE. HAHa.. And I have to study for math too. Oh lovely math.. Why is my monologue always end up with the topic of math?
OH YEAH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX! Sorry I didn't go to surprise party for korean bbq.. cuz it was kinda pointless of me going there for ten minutes and leaving.. Even Sam said that. So.. :P. okay.. well short rant for today.. not much to say... yargh.. forgot. I have to print pictures of Kitty and Julia for art collage.. 'Somewhere deep inside..'

OMG!!! Mitchell's is having a cd sale!! ON EVERY SINGLE CD! YARGH!! NEXT TUESDAY! WHEE!! I am gonna go! Kitty, do you want me to get you your cd? Everything is like $16! :) Tuesday.. Wednesday, all Bibles are 25%! I'm gonna get myself a Message Remix Bible. Lala.. those are great.. I like how they replace the traditional word 'honey' with 'chocolate'.. lol.. funny. Oh I got this other really cool Bible from Costco with Robyn. It's called Revolve and it's especially for preteen to teenage girls.. it's in a magazine format and colour and everything and pictures and stuff like that.. very good. Anyone want it after I am done. If you don't like reading the bible just black and white, this one's good.
HAha.. today at lunch, the central topic was FAT. It was really funny. A lot of arm jiggling, flexing and poking. hahaha.. And surprisingly, over frrozen hot chocolates and apple crumble. LOL. Mitch is gonna go to the gym.. I wanna go.. I wanna lose... 5-15 lbs. That would be soo perfect. Fine, if not any fat, just toned... That would be good... now.. to find a gym...lalala.. Is there such thing as a month membership.. lol.. just before I go off on my little trip.. MITCH! I WANNA GOOOOO... if your gym is too pricey and too far, I'll find another one WITH A POOL! Muahaha.. and pilates and yoga. That's awesome. OKAY! No more frrozen hot chocolates. Welcome to the world of fun exercise and toned body.. lol. I'm so joking.. puahaha.. But I'll eat the same.. meh.. well.. maybe less... frrozen hot chocolate. Kitty's mean. She was trying to make me drink that whipped cream cuz she already ate it, and mitch pointed out the "Low in Fat" and in fine print below "without whipped cream" so I left the whipped cream on top.. HAha... Don't I feel so good about myself.. ;)

My new obsession: Switchfoot

Lol. I know, I'm so slow when it comes to 'new' music.. it's been out for a while but I love the songs. :D Even Steph's heard it on Edge.. so.. lol. But that's weird cuz it's a Christian rock band. Oh well, I guess it's okay to play it on the air cuz it doesn't mention anything about 'god' or stuff like that. :D. But the lyrics are sooo good. They make you kinda reflect on your whole life.. on what life is all about. I heard it at Rob's house and I'm gonna get the cd as soon as I go to Mitchells or something. I wrote some of the lyrics that really hit me..

We were meant to live for so much more if we lost ourselves. Somewhere we've inside. We want more than this world's got to offer.'

'This is your life, are you who you want to be? This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be? When the world was younger and you had everything to lose.'

I really really like the latter one... And it's soo pretty.. lol.. Go to http://www.switchfoot.com/media/a_beautiful_letdown/this_is_your_life.mp3
Ya ya.. so that's all I can hear for now.. lol. Just the chorus, but that's the main part so it's all good. When Derek first told me about the Switchfoot concert, I was like "huh?". Lol.. Now I am in the know... lol... Yeah.. so I'm just repeating 'This is Your Life' over and over again.. it's such a good song.. did I ever tell you that? Lol. Kitty was scoffing at me today for being so slow to get hip with it all. ;) lalala...
Whoohoo.. inspired my Rob's silkscreen print shirt, I've decided to do my own.. except painted.. argh.. it's in silver and it's really pretty. :) well hopefully it won't come out slanted everything turns out, everytime I try doing things freehand...
Lol. Last night, Rob and I had the funniest conversation about my cousin and her boyfriend. We were saying since her bf is so much like an elf, that we should have a lotr wedding for them. :) She could be clothed in Arwen's wedding gown with a silver circlet on her head. And Jonathan could be the ringbearer (no pun intended).. LOL.. he could dress up as a hobbit and carry the rings to the alter. HAHA.. And the priest would dress up as Gandalf.. yes yes.. well I'm off to finish painting now...

Ten good things about viv:
short-short-short-short-short-short-short-short-short-short.

Because I can tower over her. :). That's the good thing about it.. HAHA!

Went to Timothy's today with my CD Team (aka 'Sunday school'.. but I dislike the term). All the Gr 12's were talking about prom and giving me advice on universities and where to get a dress. Lol. It was really funny to hear their experiences. And this is what they said:
1) Buy jewelry after dress
2) Get dress after January when there are mass sales
3) Go to some road next to Yorkdale Mall where the outlet shops are
4) Get makeup and hair done by a Caucasian person (notice Asian hairstylists still do their own thing if you show them a picture. -_-)
5) Wear low heels instead of high, to prevent hobbling halfway through the night (I learnt that in grad.. but they weren't even tall shoes.. but this rule doesn't really apply to me.. lol.... ;) )
6) Get dress in the States (this summer there are mass discounts.. but I'd get sick of it before prom arrives)
7) Get something you'd wear again for some other formal or whatnot (right.. Iono about this one.... when uni rolls by.. why would you need a nice gown? But prom is a nice excuse to get one.)
8) Make sure your shoes match the dress (friend had black dress with baby blue shoes.. lol.. ended up borrowing her sister's old dress... very last minute)

Today I was watching 'Faking It".. You know that show that gets a person to take up a particular job that they usually wouldn't and train for four weeks to perfect the skills of the trade.. Then a panel of judges watch the faker amongst the professionals of the group to see if they could spot the faker... Lol..Well I was watching this cowboy who sheers sheep who had to go to LA to learn how to cut hair.. And it was really cool.. I wanna be a hairstylist! That seems so fun.. LOL.. I wanna cut my hair again.. I have this obsession now.. I wanna cut my hair again. Lalala... I wanna take so many courses that I may not necessarily wanna take up a career in.. like a hairstylist.. just watching how people learn to cut hair and wash it and do the finishing... that's really interesting.. And it's really hard too.. Oh there's an episode of a librarian who has to become a bargirl right now.. lol.. but whatever.. I wanna learn the art of baking (Culinary arts) and fashion (but I don't wanna sew. but designing costumes for movies are cool too) and makeup artistry (yay.. orc makeup! :D), fashion photography (ooo.. I would love to do that...).. :) Actually I'd love to do any of those as a profession if I'd taken the right courses and whatnot. Sigh... I'm only 17 and they think I should have my future all planned out.. aewrnaekjfs...
Entry #2

Lol.. I forgot that my cousin of 27 has got a boyfriend! :D. And he's of Scottish and British descent.. Isn't that cool? She's like 5'11" and he's 6 something...yay.. he's got bleach blond hair and blue eyes.. I've never met him before but I told her he must be from some lineage of elf. :D. LOL. Come on!! Blond, fair skin, blue eyes and super tall? And they own a couple of horses too. HAHAHA.. Ahem. Must be an elf! YAY!! lol.. They bumped into each other about two months ago.. they knew each other from high school and met up recently. lol... Woooo.. if they have kids, they'll be mixed and mixed kids are super pretty. :). Especially with an asian mother.. LOL.. okay I am going a bit too far into the future.. la dee da. I want her to show me a picture of him.. lol...

Have you heard that song called "Wait For Me"? The singer is praying for her future spouse to 'wait for her'. Lol. It's an interesting concept actually. To pray for your future spouse. For someone you've never met and are waiting to meet... weird... In the book "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", they suggested that too.. to pray for your husband or wife to wait for you.. lol... Don't you think that's funny. I think it is...
Lol. It's like "dear God. I pray for my husband.. whoever he is.. and wherever he is. To stay pure etc". Lol. I think that's really.... weird. But not in a bad way. :) Just a thought.

Listening to 'Breathe'.. it sounds so gorgeous with the violin... :). (wow that sounded eerily like lois.. LOL.. except with her showtime soundtrack.. she's so obsessed) I'm taking a rest from LOTR for today. ;).

Wow.. I was just looking up onto Rob's bulletin board and she still has that Casa Loma ticket from three years ago when LOTR first came out and we went to see the Middle Earth exhibition there... darn.. I lost mine,. darn darn darn.
Yesterday we went to Buffet King for our family gathering with my cousins and everybody and it was fun. My little cousin of 7 years is the cutest and the most serious child I've ever met. He says the most profound things and we like to call him 'Professor Jon'. Lol. He can even recite that poem by J.R.R Tolkien: "All that glitters is not gold.. all those who wander are not lost.." haha (and for your information, I did not teach him that). One of his older sisters, Jenny, was telling me some hilarious stories about him... like once she found the backing of a pad in his book...and here's the following conversation:

Jen: Jonathan, what is this doing in your book?!
Jon: It's my bookmark.
Jen: Where did you get this?
Jon: I found it lying around.
Jen: (replaces the liner with a real bookmark) Take this. Don't use this as a bookmark anymore. That's gross.

LOL. and my cousin is quite the ladies man.. and he's had like four girlfriends. and one was even older than him. Lol. And after a break up with one of the girls, he asked Jenny this:
Jon: Jenny, can a girl change into a guy? And can a guy change into a girl?
Jenny: Er.. if they get surgery..
Jon: GOOD!!!
Jenny (Thinking that he wants a gender change): Why are you asking that?!?!
Jon: Cuz I want my girlfriend to change into a guy. I think she would be more fun as a guy.

Lol. He's so cute. you know what's really scary? His friends are already swearing.. at the young age of 7. That is insane.. that's Grade 2! I think that's really sad how they're being influenced by their parents in that sort of manner and by the tv shows that they watch. It's seriously not good.. Back in MY days... people started in... gr 5? Lol. Jon once mentioned to Jen about his friend's language and described it as "My friend uses offensive words". Lol... Okay... a three syllable word.. I don't understand where he gets these woreds from. He says he gets the from the tv shows.. but there's a difference between copying the word and actually applying it in the right context.. and he can weave them into his vocabularly and use it at the right time... Yes. We have a professor on our hands. He knows the word 'phenalaline".. er.. I can't spell it. I asked him what it was and he said "It's an amino acid". Lol. But he was six at the time... We have a child progidy on our hands! Lol.. okay I'll stop now.

Do you know what... I was just doodling after church (I had to stay there cuz my aunt and uncle had cell group after... so I just went into a room) It just hit me.. I'm not really good at art. Everyone has their own style in AY.. their own distinct style and their doodles are just amazing. They are absolutely gorgeous.. and it's no brainer for them.. as for me, I have to think of something to draw (maybe it's cuz I am picky?).. And I don't really have a style that I really like.. mine are so.... repetitive? Everything looks the same...Iono.. being better at something compared to someone else doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at it.. It doesn't mean I have the talent... Iono... It's just weird...

Lol.. Today's sermon was on being single.. And Pastor Herman said something really interesting.. He said that if we think that a boyfriend or a girlfriend could complete us.. make us a whole person... he/she can't because God made us whole in the first place. So how can a significant person make us whole? Only one person can make us complete: the person who made us. The maker.

I am aspiring to become an interior designer. I can change rooms and improve people's lives by altering their work environment to suit them. I can paint walls, re-upholster furniture, rearrange furniture, replace flooring, install lighting etc etc. But that's all I can do. You know who is the ultimate interior designer? God. I can only change rooms, but he can change hearts. ;). And when Pastor Herman mentioned that God is the ultimate interior designer.. I could feel people's eyes on the back of my head (I always sit at the front.. but people know I wanna be an interior designer.. lol). Have you heard that song.. oh crap.. I've forgotten the name of it.. But the singer was saying how God could come into his life and sweep away the cobwebs,... wait rob might have the cd.. lalala.. let me go check.... Yup yup.. here we go and the lyrics to accompany it. It's got good lyrics so read them.. they apply to this whole interior concept:
Welcome Home

Take, me, make me
All You want me to be
That's all I'm asking, all I'm asking

Welcome to this heart of mine
I've buried under prideful vines
Grown to hide the mess I've made
Inside of me
Come decorate, Lord
Open up the creaking door
And walk upon the dusty floor
Scrape away the guilty stains
Until no sin or shame remain
Spread Your love upon the walls
And occupy the empty halls
Until the man I am has faded
No more doors are barricaded

Chorus
Come inside this heart of mine
It's not my own
Make it home
Come and take this heart and make it
All Your own
Welcome home

Take a seat, pull up a chair
Forgive me for the disrepair
And the souvenirs from floor to ceiling
Gathered on my search for meaning
Every closet's filled with clutter
Messes yet to be discovered
I'm overwhelmed, I understand
I can't make this place all that You can

repeat chorus

I took the space that You placed in me
Redecorated in shades of greed
And I made sure every door stayed locked
Every window blocked, and still You knocked

repeat chorus

Take me, make me
All You want me to be
That's all I'm asking, all I'm asking

Yeah so that's all for now.. I'll blog some more later if I'm still extremely bored.. which is likely..

Sitting in the dim light of Rob's room right now... kinda tired from today's events. You know what I've discovered.. I think I've said it before but I'll say it again. That God works small changes into our lives.. not some shbang miracle that would make you suddenly believe. But when we're down, He lifts us up. When we struggle, He brings people to comfort us... but the thing is we forget after a certain time period of how he's blessed us and helped us through our life. So this whole spiritual journal is good so you can recall and read back at your old entries and see how God has changed your life because we forget many things that he's done for us.. so yeah... like I would've never remembered that time when I was so in need of friends prior to starting high school until I read back in my old 'journal'.
So do you guys use the word 'best friend'. Because I believe it prohibits people from making more friends (or slowing down the growth rate of other friendships). Besides the word 'best friend' is like extracting a particular person out of a social group and putting them on a pedestal. So I don't really think anyone in this 'crew' ever knew I was really close with Tania because I never really told anyone or expressed it in any way until I told them in second semester, that they saw. I, on my behalf, refrained from sharing cuz I wanted to grasp a 'foothold' with the other people in the crew. I don't know.. I see it as if a best friend was to be a 'married couple'.. like people always ask 'how are you and so and so' or 'did you and so and so get into a fight?'.. but whatever.... I don't really care.
gonna go sleep now... I have no clue as to what I am gonna do tomorrow.. I feel as if I'm on holiday already.. darn I shoulda brought my math textbook with me so I could start reviewing the first few chapters.. hahaha...

Yes, so our (dorothy, april and I) big plan for university. Get into the program of our choice: Ryerson interior design (we like the Sheridan one better but Ryerson offers a degree whereas Sherdian only offers a crummy diploma... you have a 30% higher chance of getting a job with a degree.. it sucks..). Then we're gonna buy ourselves an apartment close to Ryerson... I prefer one right in the middle of all three universities: Ryerson, OCAD and U of T cuz then we could recruit an extra person.. but whatever. We've already divided the duties that are needed. April is gonna be the 'man' of the house.. LOL. Her duties are cleaning the bathroom, squishing bugs cuz I'm scared of crushing a part of God's creation (unless I REALLY have to... cuz I can just picture the body being crushed and squished beneath a tissue.. and what if it has a family?? LOL..Do not deal out death in the name of justice. ;) It only lives once.) and so is dorothy so that job was handed to April! What else? Iono we'll think of other things.. how about taking the garbage out.. HAHA. As for Dorothy and I, obviously I've been handed the post of baking and cooking (which I swear to do this summer) and... buying groceries.. and vacuuming and mopping.. but that's easy. So aren't we good. HAHA.. we have our plan set. We've decided to get a plasma tv (to save space. :) )and a cd player each since April likes her chinese music (ew do we have to watch chinese shows...) and I with my soundtracks.. Dorothy doesn't mind any of that as long as it's not rap music. So that's all good. But I'm gonna be so sick of them in a week.. lol.. seeing them at school and after school... they're gonna drive me up the wall. Lol. I just know it.
Anyway! STEPH!!! Jesse's INDONESIAN. Lol. I said he's cute cuz he acts so daintily and whatnot and it's really funny. Lol. I'm glad you liked coffeehouse. Personally, I thought the gr 9 one was better.. but maybe that's cuz I was on the worship team that time.. but whatever. Did Alli tell you she got a bruise from clapping on her watch rather than her hand? HAHA... How the heck do you do that...
Glendon college is sooo gorgeous. And we were driving around Bridle Path.. and woah are the houses GINORMOUS. Makes the Bayview Hill houses look like shacks. Seriously. They are monstrosities. But the manor was gorgeous.. the house that the did all the designing. But we weren't allowed to take pictures which was quite disappointing. But the booklet had a lot of the initial sketches of the rooms. They were gorgeous. I was kinda disappointed with the boutique though.. kinda dull. There was this gorgeous painting that I really liked ... but it was $17000. :S. And this gorgeous 'chandelier' that I saw before at Sescolite (light shop).. It was made up of a lot of silvery wires that were suspended and curled around one another and the end was a frosted glass 'lampshade' in many different colours. It was so beautiful.. I saw it before and my mom was like "ya ya.. your ceiling is too low for that sort of thing" but the showroom was 10' like mine.. and it wasn't bad at all and there was quite a lot of light. The only problem was the price: $1745. :S. The garden was beautiful though.. my mom really liked it cuz it was such a nice weather day.. Lol. We were the only chinese people there and plus I was like the youngest of all the visitors.. I think the majority of them were interior designers themselves or people who owned some sort of home decorating store like Benjamin Moore. But it was fun.. There was this frosted glass mirror thing that I wanted to buy cuz it was sooo neat.. It was cut into a thin rectangle and it said "let go" and it was soo cool. It was just a wall hanging but it was so neat! And there was this mirror that said "pink" at the bottom in frosted glass and I thought that kitty might've liked it. Omg and there was this wallpaper decorated with designs out of sugar.. if you looked closely, you could see each crystal. It was so neat.. I was wondering if I could lick it. Lol. What I absolutely loved was the pavilion that overlooked the gardens.. it was so beautiful with a waterfall and a large lounge chair that could fit two people... With a swooping frosted glass overhang for shade. My mom like that one the best.. there was this small sunroom that was all tropical with electric blue and bright orange walls and floral print chairs.. it was quite awesome and a mural with a plethora of tropical plants and parrots. Ya ya.. so afterwards we went to Swiss Chalet and had dinner... and finished off with a chocolate ice cream crepe with strawberries... sigh.. there goes my vow of staying off sweets.. ARGH. Does someone wanna go and sign up for a gym membership with me.. lol. I know Grace wants to!! Ahem.. so as for my summer plans.. this is what I'd like to get done and what I must get done:
Must Do's
-Do calculus (must buy textbook first)
-Do more exercise
-Help Tania with her room. (painting) :)
-Help Rob with her room (painting. that is if she ever really gets on to doing it)
-Help Sophia with her room (mural) :D And plus I get paid!!!
-Spend time with Grace (since she's going to uni)
-Go on my lovely west coast trip!!! I plan to not gain weight.. not gain.. not gain...
-Work on portfolio (increasing art lesson to two per week)
-Finish the school design project with Dorothy and April

Want To's
-Go to Julia's cottage at the end of the summer like last year.. but not with a stupid cold.
-Mexico: get hair braided (or cornrows like melo.. HAHAHA.. kitty), get tan (but not like dark dark you know.. I don't wanna look as if I'm been grilled.. lol. in HK photos.. I was so dark from swimming. :P), go parasailing (sounds scary though), waterjetting (?), horseback riding (ah I wanna!!!!!!) and snorkelling.
-chill with people.
-paint bathroom or landing of the staircase

There's probably more but I can't think of them at the moment.
Lol. anyway, does everyone have a problem with my toes? Geez.. they're long.. and everyone keeps telling me that. -_-. Well what do you expect? Long fingers and stubby toes? That makes no sense. Everyone asks me where I got the long fingers from.. Perhaps some ancestor from the previous generation cuz it's not from my parents.
Lol. dorothy's so funny.. she gives me a label each day according to what I wear.. Friday: Prim (puhahaha.. cuz I was wearing a skirt) Monday: athletic, Tuesday: (no name.. it was my melo jersey), Wednesday: a "tree" and healthy looking (cuz if you put me upside down, my hair could represent soil, my tan sweater the roots, the green shirt: leaves, the jeans: the sky and my shoes: clouds.. HAHA) Thursday: Subtle and monochromatic (all blue.. lol).
Yeah.. so we have really weird conversations in math class.. and art too.. that's where we came up with our ingenius plan for university. cuz we are so smart. Lol. I love our conversations cuz we get into all sorts of imaginative situations and they're just plain hilarious and we do the dumbest things when we're bored... like I started drawing tears yesterday.. and it eventually came with an eye and the entire face.. Dorothy was so bored she started drawing an eye like me.. And we draw food when we're hungry.. HAHAHA... yeah yea.. oddd... Next weeks is the art show!! I may not be online the next few days cuz I am staying at Rob's house! Family going to Ohio.. -_-. WITHOUT ME!

I hope that what took place at the cafeteria tonight was not some regular 'spiritual high' where people are so pumped up by this adrenaline from the drums, and electric guitar pounding in their ears... not just something that people go "I AM READY TO LIVE FOR YOU LORD EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!" and then the next day, there is no high and people just go and resume their normal daily routine. That's the thing.. People go to TC, coffeehouses, worship nights, Acquire the Fire and such other functions just to get that spiritual high...
But anyway, I thought the speaker was really good. He's hilarious! And he is very dainty as he said! lol. I love his little stories about his car and laptop.. very funny.. Wow and there were so many old faces that I recognized.. Alex, Elliot... Steve.. and Bev. I can't believe I saw her, I saw Ian and I was thinking "wonder if Bev came too.." but it was kinda awkward not seeing each other for three years.
As for worship, (excuse me for being a bit... critical? But this is my opinion) I thought they should've sang more songs that people would know.. I knew only one.. Which was Majesty.. and it was kinda high for me to sing... and so were a lot of songs. So I tried to sing harmony. lol. Oh well.. whatever. But the drums and the electric guitar were amazing.. lol.. and it was really neat how they incorporated their duet into the songs.. I liked that, it was really unique. I was actually starting to lose my voice.. which is kinda rare cuz my voice does not lose itself so easily.. not even at... raptors games.
Whoohoo.. I never knew Trish went to the same art class as I did! And I was like "Trish? is that you?" lol. And we talked a lot about Mexico and all the cool things I could do there if I WASN'T on a cruise.. ah.. there are so many things that I'd like to do.. she said go horseback riding, braid my hair, go parasailing, snorkelling and jet skiing... argh.. I can't do all that especially if I'm stuck on a boat. But she got me all excited for my vacation. :)
Lala... as for school today, I was feeling so miserable in interior and so bored... cuz ms primeau AGAIN asked me if I handed in my chair project and I got so pissed off at her cuz my chair IS HUGE and if she can't even remember I have it, then it means my work doesn't stand out.. if it doesn't stand out.. that means it's totally crap. And then she thinks that I did my sample board.. which I did not do. And she just assumed that I did for some odd reason. argh. So anyway, I had brought my bible with me and my spiritual journal (I decided to use the one Sophia, Vanessa and Maria got me.. the pink and cream checkered one with gold lettering.. very french) and just wrote all that was troubling me, and I picked a passage that I really liked and wrote down random lyrics to songs.. And after writing it all down, it felt a lot better.. it's a good way of expressing.. but I think I mgith start incorporating random spurts of french to make sure no one can really read it.. or some made up langugage.. hm.. I should learn how to write in elvish!! :D. Then only Leaf's bro could read it.. that's funny. ah well.. whatever.. I hope to make it a daily routine.

Majesty, majesty, your grace has found me just as I am, empty handed but alive in your hands. Forever I am changed by your love, in the beauty of your majesty.
