Painting my purse... does the image of a naked woman offend you? The exposed thigh, the bare breast, parted lips... Why would it offend you? Weren't we originally created without clothing? We were not babies with pre-made linen diapers or fig leaves. Would you turn my bag over to hide the unshameful Judith with a head in her grasp? Really get a grip, it's a painted figure... naked. We see a ton of those in the Renaissance times... Nude paintings/drawings are beautiful. They glorify the beauty and the intricacy within each body and point out how each of us differs from the other. It's sheer poetry. One can get inspired from seeing a certain pose in life drawing class.. whatever.. no one would understand.
HAHA.. I am listening to 'Rumours' by Lindsay Lohan (please what is with this crop of celebrities who decide one day to make an album with synthesizers?) and I'm just thinking "Oh poor child... the paparazzi is following you... You live such a hard life... While every other teen is trying to get into a good uni and wondering how to afford such high tuitions...you're complainining about the paparazzi." But then again how would I know? I am no one famous. Okay well... next song.. SKILLET! YAY!!!! :D My Obsession.. best song.
When I first heard Skillet last year from Alex.. I thought it was so incredibly heavy and loud.. and I hated it. Lol. Funny. (I sniffed too much gesso just a few hours ago.. these are the after effects.... crazy nutcase artist)
Yes so back to ATF..At the end of the second part, Ron Luce (speaker) asked for those who were hurt to come down so they could pray for the teens... And it was quite a shock to see how many proclaimed Christians came down broken. I think that as Christians we feel the need to show pple how 'perfect' we are or how much we've changed after converting, that we leave the hurt welled up inside till it spews out. A girl told Luce that she was cutting herself... don't know why but why would you do such a thing? Becoming Christian doesn't necessarily mean life is perfect, religion is flawed because of humanity, not because of the deity we worship. Because you hurt, get angry, do something wrong, does not mean you suck as a Christian... It's normal... If you became a Christian and remained happy for the rest of your life without hurting... I think that would be more of a transformation from human to robot. How creepy.
Oh yeah I really liked the film clip with all the statistics... They showed diff scenes with diff teens holding up signs with statistics on it... in the middle of the road... in front of a tree....
83% believe truth is relative (I HATE THIS ONE SO MUCH! DIE! TRUTH IS NOT FREAKING RELATIVE! YOU CANNOT CONTORT AND TWIST TRUTH TILL IT SUITS YOUR TASTE.. okay...breathe.)
56% believe Jesus sinned (hahaha.. cuz he got angry at the temple and drove out the vendors? Right.)
65% say there is no way you can tell which religion is right (perhaps if you tried looking in the first place, you might find it.)
"I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me." very comforting.... though I don't know where it comes from in the Bible.. I just hear that verse in my head all the time. Lol. Yes a sucky christian. I'm getting so tired of all this religion stuff.. I was just watching Larry King Live and the debate on whether or not religion should intermingle within the election and politics. And there is this idiot who calls himself a pastor and says it shouldn't be. What a total idiot. It's kinda like... how some churches are now allowing gays to marry in the church out of 'tolerancy' when it clearly states in Romans that God abhors that kind of behaviour. READ THE BIBLE. ajkerhaejrhea.. this is driving me insane... Read Romans. It's in the first few chapters. Just find the part.... yeah.... Sooner or later we'll have marriages of three. I mean if we can twist the definition of marriage to include homosexuals.. why not marriages that consist of two men and one woman? It's being done in Holland right now. This is our time, the divorcing of marriage.
Sorry this is my rant.. I have a huge headache... getting just a bit annoyed. This is so therapeutic. I am just hating all this "let's be a tolerant society and allow pple to do this and that so that we don't appear to be narrow minded and discriminatory". -_-. Please. Is there anything that we stand for? Anything that we believe? To die for?
