My wonderful dearest best friend took me around Waterloo when I visited this Thanksgiving, and we had an awesome lunch at the awesome Waterloo caf. I am awed at their cafs. :P Then we had a tour of the campus (meh very quiet and just students crouched low with their backpacks trudging up the snow laden slush paths. But very typical university if you can say... there's a campus! A real one). We then went out for bubble tea which was really good and then trudged our way to the library and then uptown waterloo where we had a massive shopping spree (as massive as you can get in waterloo which is really not that massive) at this store called Ten Thousand Villages (fair trade and organic). It was really cute. Then went to a bookstore and found the coolest stuff there. Like a diary full of Frida Kahlo drawings and the nicest childrens books. After that we went to the mall and watched *blech* Harry potter #4. Honestly they all start and end the same and you can't remember what happened in which book. hahha.. Tania will kill me.
After we froze our butts off waiting for the bus to come and then overshot one bus stop. It was so cooooold. Anyway we got back and ate at the amazing caf (did I mention it's amazing?) relaxed and went to watch a depressing fourth quarter of the Raps game. And got to talk and relax. It was really nice to be able to see my best friend again. It's been so long. Christmas... yay.
